The Bush Monster

Darcy's POV

The car pulled into a narrow path that was all dirt. We were surrounded by trees and nature. At the very end of the path was the cabin. We pulled into an area out front, there was no driveway.

The wooden cabin was painted dark green, there was a white wooden rooster nailed to the front of the cabin. There was what looked like an upstairs, a lake/pond filled the back yard.

"You have got to be kidding me!" Taylor shouted.

"You'll survive." Lux sighed shaking her head.

We got out of the van and ran in all different directions. I charged for the back yard, my mouth hung open.

There was a rope tied to a tree that hung over the pond. A platform floated in the center of the water. The best part was that we were surrounded by trees so we had privacy. This place almost looked like the same place that Lives While We're Young was shot.

"Yo, Darcy!" Kat screamed from the upstairs window, she was almost hanging out of the window. "Check this house out!"

I ran to the back door and into the house. There was a smaller old style kitchen, the next room down was the living room. A staircase that led upstairs was I front of the front door. I slowly walked on the old staircase that creaked every step I took.

There was 5 rooms upstairs, a master bedroom, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom. I could easily tell Kat was in the last bedroom from the sound of the springs from her jumping on the bed.

"Kat don't jump on the be- oh hey Alina, why are you jumping on the bed?" I asked.

"I'm sleeping here." Aluna simply answered.

"Oh... okay then." I mumbled.

There were two beds in the room, a twin bed and a bunk bed. Kat was already sleeping on the bottom bunk, I get top bunk. Yay...

I don't like top bunks because when I was five I rolled off the top bunk and broke my arm. Whoops, I'm clumsy I know.

"So Kat, what did you call me up for?" I questioned.

"I wanted you to see the house, and," She picked up a picture frame. "This."

She gave me the frame which had a picture of me and Kat when we about 4. It looks like we were at the beach, also we were wearing matching dresses and sun hats.

"Kat." I whispered.

"I know, look at this!" She pointed to the background. Hunter was crying while his Dad held a crab, the best part was Tommo was turned around and his bathing suit was falling down so you basically see half of his butt.

"This is priceless!" I laughed.

"We should go swimming." Kat suggested.

"Yeah, I'll go get changed.

"Is the water cold?" I asked. Kat, Hunter, and Tommo, had jumped in. I'm the chicken of the group, I didn't jump in yet.

"No! It's fine!" Hunter answered.

"I'm not so su-" I felt someone push me from behind and I flopped into the water. Yes, the water was cold.

I swam to the top of the pond and swam to the platform.

"KING OF THE HILL! Or PLATFORM!" Tommo screamed, everyone started to swim to the platform. Once they were on everyone targeted for me, the weak duckling. I jumped back in the water before anyone touched me.

After about ten minutes of playing Hunter won. I started to swing on the rope, honestly I don't want to let go.

"Darcy!" Lux yelled, "Don't swing on it the rope is-"

The rope snapped and I flew into the water.

"Are you kidding me?!" I yelled. Kat, Tommo, and Hunter were laughing their heads off.

I felt something nibble at my feet, oh my god...

"WHAT THE?" I screamed looking at my feet. Minos were at my feet eating the dead skin off my feet.

I dragged myself out of the pond and dried off. I decided to explore a little, this isn't going to end well.

There was a trail that looked quite long. Not caring I was only in a bikini, I walked into the woods.

"Let's go camping!" I mimicked myself, "Yeah great idea Darcy." I sarcastically scolded myself .

"Now we have no wifi, we're going to have a crap ton of homework next week, I have to share a room with a seven year old and Kat. No AC or heat other then a fireplace and-" I rambled on, a bush shook. I stood still, I was too scared to even move. There was a branch next to me that I could hit whatever was in the bush. I grabbed the stick and poked the bush. Something jumped out that I never expected, it was a

I was at a restaurant yesterday and my waiter looked just like Harry it was even funny except he wore geek glasses.
