Just a heads up, this chapter is sped up a year because Vincent's coronation can't be held a few months after Mathias' death. It wouldn't be right due to mourning. Also, Parliament and the Royal Household would need time to plan it out. Btw, no they didn't have their Royal Wedding yet, but at this point, everyone knows they're married. But this is for the same reason as above. It'll show disrespect to the dead.
My baby sister, whose name is now Mizani, is going to be here in 2 weeks! They're having a planned cesarean on August 14th and I really can't wait to meet this little Leo
Chapter 37: She who is Honored with a Crown and He who Conquers
Shadé
Today, should be considered a double celebration because Vincent's coronation just so happened to fall on our wedding anniversary. Well, our eloped wedding anniversary, not the Royal one. He woke up this morning reminding me about it, as if I had forgotten.
We had moved to Buckingham for the coronation. And when I say we, I mean, myself, Vincent, my grandmother, the twins, Tori, and Venitra, who's pushing six months now. She, like Valencia, had a dark skin tone, although she was lighter, with chocolate brown eyes. It was so adorable how she would balance awkwardly on her belly and outstretch her short limbs. Rodney said it looked as if she was flying to Neverland.
"Are you ready to officially become King," I asked, pressing my breasts against Vincent's bare chest.
He groaned with a tired smile on his face. "Yes, but I rather celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife," he complained, pulling me on top of him.
"It's not like it's going to take all day," I assured. "Oh! Guess what?"
"What," he asked, his hands gently palming my backside.
"Nitra said her first word the other day. I forgot to tell you," I replied with a proud smile.
"Really? Six months and she already has something to say. What was it," he asked curiously.
"I don't know but it sounded like 'food'. I wish you were there," I said in mild disappointment.
"I'm sorry for not being here as often as I like to," he pouted with his brows creased.
"It's fine. I understand," I kissed his lips sensuously before pulling away. "Valencia asked me why you can't take her to the Bahamas," I said.
"I haven't been to the Bahamas in a while," he informed.
"I know, but she knows you went there a few months ago," I replied.
"Don't worry, there's a Royal tour scheduled in soon anyway. She'll be able to go to the Bahamas then," he assured. "For now, we have to get ready. Roderick said your dress came in last night."
"Well I can't wait to wear it," I smiled, hopping off of him and off of the bed.
"I'm taking a shower with you," he said assertively.
"No. It's almost 5:30, and you're supposed to be downstairs by--"
"Ah, they can wait. I want to take a shower with my wife," he jokingly smiled before picking me up in his arms.
______________
Vincent was always handsome to me. Even when he was an ass, who couldn't be told 'no', I couldn't deny the fact that he was impeccably good-looking. But as I sit beside him in the Gold State Coach, being pulled down through Trafalgar Square to Westminster Abbey, I had to admit, that he really looked like a king in his black, Royal ceremonial dress.
