HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL THE PAPAS! AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY LOVELY BOYFRIEND! ^_^ I Love You, Baby!
Chapter 22: Finding it Out
Shadé
Five days have passed since I'd see. Vincent and I was feeling so terrible; like I'd been used and then thrown aside. Why would a man have sex with a woman, unprotected, and then leave? That's very cold-hearted. I had never imagine Vincent being the one to do that to me. But sadly, he did.
The following day, after making sure that ass-wipe sent me my last pay check, I went to the hospital to ensure that I didn't catch anything unexpected from him. We always used condoms, but just to be safe, I went anyways. Luckily, I didn't have any STD nor was I pregnant. However, it's five days after I spent a might with Vincent, so I'll have to come back again later.
Not only that, but I also had to change my number. Darrell called me multiple times after that day, and I just couldn't take the constant calling. There were way more important people who could call me, like Ezra and my grandmother. Friends aren't really the one of the things I have here in New York, but I bear with it. Although, sometimes, I do wish I could find some of my friends from high school.
I kept the little ones at home today because Ezra insisted that since I'm having trouble finding a job, he'll have to take the babies out of daycare. We took the to daycare because neither Ezra nor myself could babysit them due to working. Of course there were certain things that my grandmother couldn't do and that included bathing the babies and cooking. She can make simple things like sandwiches or a bowl of cereal, but she couldn't use the stove; not the way Ezra does. And the microwave was definitely not her best friend.
The babies were taking a nap at the moment, while my grandmother and I sat together as we watched Supernatural. It's good to finally watch something besides Captain America five time a day.
"Why does your generation have all the sexy men," she asked, pouting her wrinkly, yet plump lips. She was currently eating a bowl of Campbell's Chicken Soup, courtesy of myself.
"Mama, he's not in my generation," I laughed. "The actor is 36, I'm 21," I explained as her brown orbs widened.
"What!? Damn, he's still fine. What happened to your boyfriend," she suddenly asked.
"He cheated on me," I replied, frowning in the direction of the TV. I would add the fact that it was with a man, but decided against it. Mama was just as loud and obnoxious as Ezra.
"The white boy? But he seemed so sweet," she said, dejectedly.
"No. We aren't dating. He's just the father of the twins," I sighed. They've only known him for two days and were already warming up to him. But that was because I knew that in their heads, he was Captain America and Daddy. And what better way to have your favorite superhero as your dad?
"Man," my grandmother mumbled. "But you and him can work something out, right? Mama need something yummy to look at," she informed.
I laughed as I shook my head. She was hilarious.
"I know he's very attractive, but I can't date him," I confessed. "He went back to England without telling me anything. And... he's a prince, Mama. I'm not dating a prince," I said, pulling my feet onto the couch and folding them in front of me.
"Your baby daddy's a prince," she asked, raising her thin brows.
"Yes," I replied quietly. "Mama, don't go around telling people about this," I warned.
"Now, baby, when have I had friends to talk to," she ask, sarcastically.
"Mama, you're very friendly. You just don't know-" my sentence was abruptly cut off by my cell phone ringing on the kitchen counter.
