Growing up Michael always got jealous easily. It wasn't just a 'omg im so jealous right now lol' No, it was more of angry jealous like 'don't talk to me right now im going home' kind of jealous.
When him and Luke were 8 Luke got a new swing set, Michael saw how shiny it was compared to his old rusty one before storming off and heading home. After talking to his mum he was convinced it wasn't a big deal and went over to Lukes the next day and played on it.
When they were both 11 Luke got his first phone. It was the iPhone 3 and he was the first in their grade to have it which made him automatically cool. Michael didn't talk to him for a day and a half.
The number one thing he got jealous over was Luke. It took him 3 months to get used to Calum and Ashton joining their friend group. He always thought that he could only be Lukes friends, no one else!
When they were 15 luke got his first boyfriend. Michael was furious, Luke was his. His his his. "Whats wrong Michael?" Luke asked taking Chases arm off his shouldn't sitting up. Michael was looking at the two furiously, he wants to hold Luke like that. Instead of speaking his mind he just shook his head before bringing his attention to his phone.
"Come on babe." Chase said wrapping his arms around the blonde kissing his cheek before sitting back down with luke in his lap. Luke giggled before straddling the boy and pecking his lips. Michael face was now as red as his hair. "Im just gonna go home." Michael said standing up collecting his things.
"What about our traditional Friday movie night?" Luke asked turning his head. Michael shook his head letting out kinda a dark chuckle. "Im clearly not wanted here ill just watch a movie with Calum i guess" he shrugged before shutting the door. He stood there counting to ten hoping luke would come out and same something along the lines "please stay we haven't missed one friday since we were 9, ill break up with chase i promise." Instead michael heard chases stupid voice say "its alright, you have me"

"I think him and Chase are cute." Calum pouted looking at his friend. "They are not cute, in fact they're anything but cute." Michael said disgusted at the fact his friend would even bring up the words chase and cute in the same sentence.
"Come on Mike what do you have against him?" Calum asked pausing the movie playing on the t.v screen. Michael scoffed while rolling his eyes. "Do i need one?" He began, "Luke has been my best friend since we were 7. I think I'd know him good enough by now to see that that isn't a good relationship." Calum rolled his eyes before pressing play on the movie.
They were now 16 and Luke was still with Chase. It was almost their one year anniversary and Michael hated it. Luke and Michael had gotten in multiple arguments about how Michael couldn't stand seeing Luke be happy.
Tonight was actually the first night they didn't argue for at least a week now. Michael and Calum were watching a reruns of friends before there was a knock on the door.
"Ill get it." Michael sighed standing up. Once he opened the door he was met with bloodshot beautiful ocean eyes with tears stained cheeks. "I-i know we've been arguing f-for a long time now but i really need someone right now Mikey." Luke hiccuped before michael nodded his head telling the blonde to run up to his room.
"Luke's here, I don't know whats going on but ill be back in a minute i guess." Michael told Calum before running up to his room.
"What happened?" He asked as soon as he entered the room, shutting the door. "Chase broke up with me." Luke whispered fiddling his fingers, not daring to look at Michael. "What?" Michael asked before Luke started to break out into soft small sobs.
"He did it in front of all his friends which made them let out 'ohhs' and a couple laughs, it was so embarrassing." He whispered before Michael pulled him onto his lap hugging him. "Oh Luke." He said softly rubbing The blondes back while Like silently cried on his shoulder.
"You were right Mikey, I should've never went out with him. He caused us to get into so many arguments and to almost dislike each other and im so so sorry. I should've listened to you." Luke began before Michael covered his mouth with his hands shutting the blonde up. "Luke don't apologize." Michael whispered looking into his friends crystal blue eyes.
"I love you Mikey." Luke whispered hugging his friend for the millionth time. "I love you too, Lu." Michael whispered rubbing his back soothingly. Luke sat up to look at Michael.
He examined his face while Michael did the same to Lukes. Next thing Michael knew Luke was leaning into him gripping his small hands on Michaels shirt before kissing his best friend.
Michael closed his eyes and kissed back, placing his hand onto Lukes head deepening the kiss while bring the other hand down to grip his waist. Luke soon craved more and more of Michael so he pushed him down fully on the bed before kissing him again grinding his croch with the older boys.
Michael moaned before pulling back. "Luke-" he began before the blonde shook his head. "No talking, just kiss." He went to leaned back in before michael moved his face away. "Luke you just got out of a year relationship, I'm not gonna be your rebound." Michael whispered stroking Lukes cheeks.
"You're not though... I-I've had a crush on you since we were little kids. You're not my rebound!" Luke complained feeling hurt.
"Luke you're so beautiful and I've loved you ever since we were kids too but when you're hurting from a relationship you can do things you don't mean. I will gladly continue to kiss you forever and ever but let's just make sure you're doing this for the right reasons." Michael explained running his hands through Luke's hair.
Luke understood nodding his head "can we at least kiss still?" He asked before Michael gave him a sad smile "Let's wait." He whispered. Once he saw how hurt his friend looked though he felt really bad so he grabbed the blondes face and brought him into one big, long, passionate kiss.
"Thats the last one for awhile, okay?" Michael asked before Luke nodded. "One more and then ill say okay?" Luke asked sheepishly before Michael chuckled kissing him once more.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
