"Pray before acting"

Forgive me, Lord,
for in my anger, I have sinned
As I acted on instinct,
a mistake I do admit.
Only after shall regret come
Then, I begin asking myself:
"Why didn't I just keep mum?"
Simply allowing my words to run
No regret while saying them
No, just only when it's done
Moving forward, I remind myself
To pray to the Lord before I speak
To pray to the Lord before I act
For only He can grant such strength and guidance
That! I do know is a fact
To be guided by the Holy Spirit,
To be strengthened by Jesus Christ.
Next time, I know I can do it.
And to remember, Pray before I act.
