Everything seemed to only go up from that point on. Both Jaebum and Youngjae's attitudes were way more positive and they had an even better outlook on life. Youngjae forgot the past, forgave Jaebum, and that's what really started everything. By letting go he was able to open a gateway to a life better than before. Between them, it was only smiles and laughter.
It was Monday and they both decided to eat out instead of having Youngjae cook like he usually does. Well, the younger practically begged Jaebum seeing that he was tired of cooking. Both males rushed out of the house and into the car seeing that they were both starving. They couldn't wait to eat good food that they didn't have to cook for themselves.
"Jaebummmmm drive faster I'm hungry," Youngjae whined as he squirmed around in his seat. He could practically feel his stomach turn inside out from the lack of food.
Jaebum didn't respond to the younger he instead just turned up the volume on the radio with a sly smirk on his face. Youngjae looked over at the older male and scoffed at his sudden rude actions. He reached over to the driver side and hit Jaebum in the arm hard enough to make his face scrunch up.
"Hey! Do you want me to get into an accident, huh? Do you want to die on an empty stomach?!" Jaebum shouted at the younger who was shocked at his anger.
"Geez someone's grumpy today," Youngjae mumbled to himself as he looked out the window.
"You bet your ass I'm grumpy, I haven't eaten anything since breakfast," Jaebum said which made Youngjae giggle.
After what seemed like forever they pulled into the parking lot of their favorite food place. It was a place that brought back memories, seeing that they always went there from elementary to high school. Youngjae felt a smile form on his face when he saw the diner, he hadn't been there in a long time even though he passed by it every day walking to work. Youngjae could never walk inside he didn't have the courage. He couldn't even believe that Jaebum remembered this place.
They both hopped out of the car and headed inside the diner. Jaebum could feel his tense body suddenly relax when the scent of burgers hit his nose. This place still had the same smell as before when they were younger.
The two males were seated and they ordered their meals soon after. Youngjae excused himself from the table and told Jaebum that he had to go to the restroom. While Youngjae was gone he felt his phone buzz signaling someone had texted him. Jaebum fished his phone out of his back pocket and turned it on. The notification showed an unknown number.
Unknown - hey buddy! long time no see!
Jaebum - who are you?
Unknown - you've already forgotten your favorite blonde wow what a friend you are sheesh
Jaebum - what do you want Jackson
Jackson - WOW YOU DO REMEMBER ME IM HAPPY !!
Jaebum - spit it out what do you want?

Jaebum turned his phone off out of anger and waited for Youngjae to get out of the bathroom. A couple minutes later the younger made his way back to the table just in time for the food. They said their thanks and started to dig into their food.
Everything was perfect.
