Everything that had happened the last few days had remained a secret to the world. Jaebum was a popular guy and if any piece no matter how small was leaked, the press would go after it like a dog and bone. His whole life was screwed up at this point and he wasn't quite sure when it would be fixed. Well, that is if it ever does get fixed. He started going back to work and on the outside nothing had seemed to change. On the inside, however, he had changed, Jaebum was just as cold as he used to be maybe even colder. Interns at his work would be ripped apart by his harsh words and worked to the bone. If they got paid for doing work, then they better work hard. He was a fierce leader and even better businessman, Jaebum did take after his father after all.
Youngjae moved back in with Jaebum sooner than he thought he would. He didn't want to leave him alone after what happened, he didn't want Jaebum to hurt himself anymore. After what had happened Youngjae put the older to bed and spent the day cleaning the house. It hadn't even been a month, but the floors were littered with empty liquor bottles and broken glass. One by one he picked them all up and threw them away into the trash.
The younger may have confessed how he felt about Jaebum, but he knew they could most likely never be together. Jaebum wasn't okay and their relationship wasn't the least bit healthy. Youngjae knew all of these things, but he made sure that Jaebum's health was the main priority.
Everything between them had to stay as just friends. Jaebum had always had a problem, but it was never as bad as it was now. The drinking, the anger issues, and the negative voice in the back of his head. Jaebum needed help but refused to take ask because that showed weakness and he was never one for showing vulnerability. Youngjae knew that he needed help as well, but every time he mentioned it Jaebum would do one of two things.
1. He would ignore Youngjae and pretend like the conversation never happened.
2. Jaebum would lash out at Youngjae and get angry.
Ever since the day of the incident, Jaebum would be irritable almost 24/7. It wasn't a good thing and would often end up with Youngjae being hurt emotionally. Nothing was ever physical about Jaebum getting angry, he made a promise to himself to never lay a hand on the younger again unless it was back by consent.
"Jaebum why won't you listen to me? You need help!" Youngjae insisted as they sat at the dinner table eating their food he had prepared.
"I DON'T NEED FUCKING HELP! GOD DAMN WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM?" Jaebum yelled, frustrated by Youngjae constantly telling him to get a therapist.
"WHAT'S MY PROBLEM? WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?! I JUST WANT TO HELP YOU! WHAT'S SO WRONG WITH THAT? I'M SORRY FOR CARING!" Youngjae slammed his spoon onto the table harshly and pushed his chair back. He stood up from there and headed to his room before slamming the door.
Jaebum sat at the table with his thumb and forefinger pressed to the bridge of his nose. He didn't want to admit it, but Youngjae was right. He needed help.
