It all started in Youngjae's 3rd year of highschool. Jaebum had gradually started to separate himself from the younger and Youngjae noticed. From talking less in the halls to out right ignoring the latter's texts all together. Soon it got to the point where Jaebum couldn't even meet the younger's eyes.
The older male made a new group of friends, and these kids weren't exactly the greatest role models. They were the bad boys of the school and almost every girl and some boys were head over heals for them. They got all the pretty girls and they made the men jealous.
Well all of them had a girl, except one. Everyone knew Jaebum as the type to not have a girlfriend, it wasn't something he really cared for. They knew he was a cold hearted guy who didn't have the compactity to give love, of course Youngjae knew differently. Well, at least he thought he knew the real Jaebum. All of the current events had made the younger contradict his earlier thought, he had never seen this side of Jaebum before.
Soon things started to get out of hand, one day while Youngjae was walking he accidentally tripped one of Jaebum's 'friends'. This did not have a happy ending at all, well for Youngjae it didnt. It was like the past was repeating itself as the younger was pushed up against a brick wall by the collar with his elbows digging into the brick.
This time Jaebum wasn't here to stop Youngjae from getting punched. In fact, the older male saw the whole thing and chose to ignore it. When Youngjae saw Jaebum walk away he was extremely hurt. Tears fell down his cheeks and this wasn't because of the physical pain he was receiving.
It was then when he finally realized Jaebum really did change for the worst. He was never going to see the younger Jaebum he grew familiar enough with to love. Instead he was going to always be reminded of the fact that Jaebum broke his promise that he had fought so hard to keep from breaking before.
The hardest part about this was that Youngjae was too naive to see that this day was going to come soon. The younger male had to get beat up and witness his best friend walk away from the scene to help open his eyes. This knocked some sense into his head and told him that the old Jaebum is gone.

Everything's different now, things have changed. They were both out of highschool and no longer part of each other's lives. Youngjae and Jaebum both went their separate ways, regret in their hearts when they laid their eyes upon their school for the last time.
On the last day of school they never talked, not once. Since Jaebum and Youngjae's houses were in the same neighborhood they had to walk home in the same direction. When they got to their neighborhood there was a cross in the road. Youngjae and Jaebum walked down seperate paths, but not before giving each other one last glance.
