Hey guys, so obviously this won't be finished by the end of this month, but it will hopefully be by the end of next month. I know I have a lot of stories out and updates are going a little slower, but I promise you that after I finish this one, then Hidden Shadows will be next and so on.

So this story will not have an update schedule per say but it will most likely be updated either on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Chapter 3,

Payback's A Bitch!

"Who's bright idea was it to have lunch scheduled right after gym class?" I complain.

"Uh, the people in the school office who set up our schedules." Jack concludes with a small shrug.

"Well then they suck!"

"Why are you in such a sour mood all of a sudden Jacky?" Pete asks while eyeing me.

"Uh oh! Is it that time of the month again?" Jack adds taking a cautious step back, prompting Peter to do the same.

"Shut up! I just don't like being all sweaty and gross while I'm trying to eat my lunch!" I deny.

"Right." Both Pete and Jack nod slowly causing me to glare at them.

After getting our lunch we sit at our usual table in the back by the window, and just as soon as we take a seat a voice through the school speakers announces. "Guess What? That's Right! It's that time again folks, so push your lunch trays back step up to the middle clearing and grab a flag. You'll know the rules! Two at a time only, ten minutes, the winner for each race get a free treat of their choosing when the timer goes out!"

We have these races once every week and they switch up the days so you never know when it's going to be.

Why they do this? I have absolutely no idea.

"What's the point of this again?" Jack asks with a laugh.

Good question?

"To get a second chance to beat your rival. Jacky get up, you and me are gonna' race, I already got you a flag." A familiar voice answers as we all turn to see none other then Ethan Waters.

'Doubt it, but whatever I'll take it.'

"I never turn down a challenge." I smirk getting up and taking a green flag from him as we're the first ones to the middle clearing.

A teacher is always there to chaperone so when we take our starting positions, Mr. Robins nods at us before holding up five fingers and counting backwards. "Five...Four...Three...Two...One...Race!" And with that Ethan and I take of as we are neck in neck.

I start to push ahead when my shoe lace gets caught and tangled up in my other shoe and I go face first into the floor. The whistle blows, the red flag goes down and Mr. Robins declares Ethan the winner.

Getting up, I angrily brush myself off as I glare at a smirking Ethan.

As he walks past me he says, "Payback's A Bitch, better luck next week Jacklyn.

I storm by him, going back over to my lunch table to eat my food as Jack and Pete stare at me.

"What!?" I snap at them, taking all my anger out on a roll as I violently rip it apart and shove a piece in my mouth.
