Chapter 2,

I knew It!

"Well well well, look who it is, the fag of the school!" Brayden smirks coming up to us as we're walking to Gym, a terrible first class to have first thing in the morning.

"Knock it off." Pete tells her as I push Jackson behind me protectively, Jack hates conflict and tries his best to avoid it, but with Brayden it's not as easy.

She revels in conflict and feeds off of chaos, it's like shes a demon, and she might as well be.

"How could you defend him like you do!" She dramatically screeches acting horrified and by now a small crowd had gathered. "And you're no better," She accuses pointing her ugly manicured finger at me as she continues, "He's a fag, a monstrosity to society!"

"That's enough Brayden!" A boy named Carter cuts in coming to our defense. We had more people on our side then she did on hers.

A couple years ago, we talked to the principal about starting a Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender awareness club. He thought it was a great idea and took it up to the school board and got us approved inside and outside of school.

We run fund raisers and have meetings and just over all show our support. My parents are big supporters as well.

"You're defending them?" She asks incredulous.

"Stop making a big deal out of this! So what if Jackson is gay, who cares, it shouldn't matter who you love just so long as you love them." I make a point, Jackson coming to stand right beside me as Pete grips his shoulder in encouragement, and something about the way hes holding Jack makes me a bit suspicious.

"Whatever!" Scoffs Brayden turning on her four inch heels and stomping her way down the hall in anger.

Honestly, I don't know how she even walks in those things.

"Thanks guys." Jackson smiles giving Pete a hug and I smirk when I see Pete blush, clearly surprised but accepting the hug anyway as he wraps his arms around my little brother, and I can't help but think how cute they look together. Jackson pulls away first, then turning to me he gives me a wink adding, "See you guys later, I got an Algebra class to get to." And with that he takes off running down the hall.

I Pull Peter aside as I ask, "you got something you want to tell me Pete?"

"Um..." He starts unsure what to say before sighing as he gives, "how long have you known?"

"I've always suspected but today was basic confirmation."

"I like guys." He meekly says in a quiet voice.

"I know Peter."

"I'm gay." He confirms.

"I know."

"And I like your little brother Jackson."

"I figured as much, he also likes you by the way." I nod with a smile, wondering how I'm going to set the two of them up.

"You're thinking about setting us up, aren't you?" He asks as we begin making our way to the Gym for Drivers Ed.

"Maybe."

"Jacklyn."

"Okay yes." I concede.

"I'm not gonna be able to stop you, am I?"
