Hey guys, sorry about the late update, but I didn't have internet.

Here's Chapter 12, hope you like it.

Chapter 12,

It's Official!

(Jacklyn's POV.)

"Goodbye Grandma, it was nice to see you guys again and Thanksgiving has been great." I praise while hugging her.

We were getting ready to leave and head back home, but I will never forget all the great things that happened here.

Jack and Peter officially got together and are now dating, and as for Ethan and I. We were...Well I'm not sure what we were just yet, technically he never asked me out, but then again, maybe I should take the big leap and ask him out instead.

"Goodbye Lynny, I'll see you at Christmas, and I expect you and that boy to be a couple by then."

I blush, then a thought occurring to me I say, "We're going to the lake for Christmas, are you and Grandpa coming along with us?"

"No dear, we'll see you before you head up there, your mother wants us to house sit while you all are away."

"Makes sense," I nod.

"Jacks!" The familiar voice of Avery shouts and I look up to see her waving madly at me while running our way. Grandma steps back a bit right before she reaches us.

She'd be staying for another two days since her school doesn't start back til the following Wednesday, but ours starts back Monday, which is why we are leaving this fine Saturday evening.

Mom will soon be eight months pregnant seeing as how the baby is due on the fourth of January, but Mom and Dad think the new little one is going to be a Christmas baby and come early.

"Aves!" I say a bit dramatically as we embrace in a hug, "I wish I could stay here with you, but unfortunately we have to get going, but you guys should really come visit us after the first of the year."

"I wish you could stay too, but all good things must come to an end right. And same to you about visiting, we've built a deck onto our house, and Dad being Dad went through the trouble of building an out house." She replies.

"An outhouse? Really? What does your mother think of that?"

"Uh...Yeah, she's not too fond of it, but agreed to it so long as she got to paint it pink."

I laugh. That's just too hilarious, especially imagining her Dad going into a pink outhouse.

"That's great!" I exclaim in laughter, and she laughs with me, nodding at my response.

"J! Mom and Dad said to tell you to come on!" Calls Trevor from the window of the RV, and I roll my eyes at his antics.

"I'll be there in a sec, just hang on!" I call back, then turning to Avery, I smile as I add, "It's been nice, I'll miss you Aves and can't wait to see you again, good luck being stuck with Dustin for the next two days."

"I'll miss you too Jacks, and please don't remind me that I have to be stuck with him for two more days til I leave. But hey did you know that he's been staying with Grams and Gramps for the last five months and will be staying with them til the end of the year?"

"Yeah, I found out two months ago, something about his delinquent ways being too much to handle and so Aunt Ria, and Uncle Louie decided that it'd be better if he lived with Grandma an Grandpa for a while and get straightened out." I respond.

"Yeah, I asked Grams about it, and she said that he was doing so much better here then he was at home, and Gramps said that he's been a big help around the house."

"Now that you mention it, he hasn't been as mean to Jack like he usually is either. Grandma and Grandpa must really be making him a better more likable person."

"Lyn!" Jack suddenly yells out, and I turn to see him halfway hanging out the window, "Dad says that if you want to stop for ice cream on the way back home then to hurry your butt up!"

"I'm coming little bro, chill your jets for a sec and get back inside that window before you fall out and break something!" I shout back at him, then turning to Avery, I add, "I'll see you soon."

We hug one last time, and then I hop on the RV, going to sit on one of the bench seats next to Ethan.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Finally Home!" Jack cheers dramatically before dropping down to the floor and kissing it, causing us all to give him a strange look.
"I have strange kids," Mom shakes her head, an amused smile gracing her lips.
We had already dropped Ethan off at home and Peter was going to stay at our house tonight. After all, he is our neighbor and can go home whenever he wants, he literally lives a football field away from us. But since it was after eight and we were all jet lagged he decided to just stay the night, Mom and Dad already said it was okay.
"Alright, I'm gonna' go put the twins down in their crib, Kaiya, Trevor, it's almost bed time for you two, get up stairs and your mother and I will come tuck you in in a bit. Ricky, be in bed by nine forty-five, no later than ten." Dad announces, then turning to Jack and Peter adds, "You two know the rules, no funny business, no making loud noises after ten and be asleep by midnight. And Jacklyn," His eyes are now on me as they narrow, "Same rules apply, and your lamp needs to be turned off before midnight."
"Yes Dad, I got it, now go put the twins down for bed, I'll be in my room watching TV." I sigh.
"Speaking of, Dad when can I have a TV in my room?" Trevor asks, meanwhile Kaiya is standing beside him wiping her eyes, trying to stay awake.
"When you are old enough to get a job and pay for it yourself," Mom yawns.
"But J doesn't have a job," Trevor whines.
"Not anymore. I quit, but I'm sure you remember when I worked part time at the skating rink til I saved enough to get the oil paint kit that I wanted. And because I had money left after I got the kit, I decided to buy a TV. Now get to bed, can't you see Kaiya is exhausted."
Trevor turns to Kaiya, his eyes softening when he sees her swaying on her feet while trying desperately to hold her eyes open. They may fight a lot, but they're still brother and sister.
"Yeah okay," he finally yields, taking Kaiya's hand as he turns and begins to lead her up the stairs to her room. "Come on Kaiya, let's get to bed." She nod sleepily, her eyes fluttering.
With that Mom follows them so that she can tuck Kaiya in, and Dad heads to his and Mom's room to put Faith and Jaylee down for bed.
Ricky grabs a book from the book shelf and heads after them while Jack, Pete, and I look at each other before scattering, all ready to go our separate ways.
"Night Lyn."
"Good night Jacky."
"Night Jack, night Pete, no funny business!" I call while heading to my room where I open the door and saunter in, plopping lazily down on my bed and turning on my TV.
"You could read a million pages, know the words and all the phrases. You could try to turn a lie into the truth." I silence my phone, even though I was tempted to just let it play so I could sing along to the song. All I Need To Know by A Thousand Foot Krutch.
Reading the text from Ethan, I smile and send a reply, "Good Night to you as well Waters, sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite."
I put my phone on vibrate, grabbing the remote and flipping through channels.
With a deep sigh I loo outside my open window, admiring the shinning beauty of the stars glittering in the sky, and I think that this is a beautiful end to such a wonderful night.
