Chapter 6, Hooking Up!

New update, here it is, this took quite a bit of time to write because I really wanted it to be perfect, so please read and vote.

I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to read this and give it a chance, you all give me inspiration to keep posting and writing more, and without further ado, here is the next chapter.

Hooking Up!

"You can't mix those chemicals together you idiot!" I shout at Ethan, Mr. Shiku had mistakenly paired us up for bio chem, and unfortunately he would be my partner for the rest of this year.

"I can," he corrects with a smirk, "I just shouldn't."

I'll admit that Ethan did have some brains in that stupid head of his, but just because he was smart didn't mean he wasn't also stupid.

After all he is a guy and guys are full of dumb ideas, I should know, I have three brothers, and then of course there's Peter.

"Fine!" I growl angrily, "you can, but you shouldn't, not unless you want to make a deadly smoke bomb!"

"At least it will get us out of class." He laughs, holding the two potent chemicals away from my reach.

"It could also possibly kill us, do you have a death wish or something?" I rant.

"It won't kill us if I use the right amount Forest." Ethan rolls his eyes at me like I was and idiot for even saying that. His forest green eyes lit up with mischief when he started bringing the two chemicals closer together.

"Don't you dare!" I yell at him, making an attempt to stop him, but he held me back, succeeding in tripping me when I finally got free of his tight hold. This gave him just enough time to mix the two chemicals and next thing I know the glass vial in his hand shatters and black smoke surrounds us at all angles.

We both immediately began coughing, Mr. Shiku ushering students and trying to get everyone out as quick as possible.

"You dumb ass!" I gasped out as we clutch onto each other, holding one another up, "You used too much and now we're going to die because you are stupid!"

"Had to try right." Ethan just smiles.

"Jacklyn! Ethan! Where are you two? The smoke is too strong to see through, can you make it to the door, are two okay?" Our teacher asks coughing, and by the sound of his voice I'm guessing he's just inside the door, probably hoping to catch sight of one of us.

"Come on." Ethan says taking my hand and leading us through the thick black smoke. I make sure to cover my nose and mouth with the sleeve of my other hand, Ethan doing the same thing while we navigated our way to the door and safely outside the classroom.

Once we're out, Mr. Shiku counts all of his students before quickly shutting the classroom door. "I've informed the principal of what has just transpired, she will be calling an evacuation of the school, and everyone that was in the tainted classroom will be taken to the hospital to be test and checked out. I'm not sure how that happened but those chemicals could have been deadly to all of us had we not gotten out in time."

I make sure to glare hard at Ethan who just smirks at me. Does he not realize that he just gambled with everyone's lives and could have killed us?

It's only when Peter comes sauntering happily out of the bathroom whistling do I realize that Ethan and I are still holding tightly onto one another as Peter eyes the class with confusion, is gaze locking in on me.
