Our story is about a town, a small town, and the people who live in the town. From a distance, it presents itself like so many other small towns all over the world Safe. Decent. Innocent. Get closer, though, and you start seeing the shadows underneath. The name of our town is Riverdale. And our story begins, I guess, with what the Blossom twins did this summer. On the Fourth of July, just after dawn, Jason and Cheryl Blossom drove out to Sweetwater River for an early morning boat ride.

The next thing we know happened for sure is that Dilton Doiley, who was leading Riverdale's Boy Scout Troop on a bird watching expedition, came upon Cheryl by the river's edge

The next thing we know happened for sure is that Dilton Doiley, who was leading Riverdale's Boy Scout Troop on a bird watching expedition, came upon Cheryl by the river's edge. Jason Riverdale Police dragged Sweetwater River for Jason's body, but never found it.So a week later, the Blossom family buried an empty casket and Jason's death was ruled an accident, as the story that Cheryl told made the rounds. That Cheryl dropped a glove in the water, and Jason reached down to get it, and accidentally tipped the boat, and panicked, and drowned. As for us, we were still talking about the "July Fourth tragedy" on the last day of summer vacation, when a new mystery rolled into town.

Cheryl Blossomed clung to the small blonde. Broken sobs left her red lips. Phlox held the girl to her chest tightly as the girl she loved cried. Tears of her own fell down her cheeks. She knew in her heart that Jason was still alive but her mind blocked it out. Letting out a deep breath, pushing the girl away from her. Cheryl stared at her, wondering what was wrong when she made eye contact with. Her warm brown eyes met Phlox bright blue-ish green eyes. Phlox stared deeply in her eyes and spoke the words that almost fixed it all "Cheryl.. we'll get through this, together." Thus caused her to nod and dry up her tears. They sat in silence in Phlox s bedroom, they light were off only candle light shown.. both of the two young woman stared ahead of them..

Phlox stared at her self in horror. Her once bright eyes almost looked dead as they stared back. Letting out a sigh she put on a beaming smile on her face and turned away from the mirror. Since July 4th Phlox hasn't been the same, she knew in her heart that he was still alive, or well that's what she kept telling her self. When she got down stairs Phlox looked around the room. Memories fluffed her mind when she looked around, this caused her to rushed out of the house and into Cheryls car.

A little while later they both stood on behind a podium, on their faces was a sad smile and glossy eyes. Phlox looked around the gym, everyone eyes was glued to them. "Thank you for that moment of silence. Many of you were lucky enough to have known my brother personally. Each and every one of you meant the world to Jason." Cheyls voice snapped Phlox out of her trance. Tighting her hold on cheyls hand she let cgeyl continue, " I loved my brother. He was and always will be our soulmate. So I speak with the confidence only a twin could have Jason wouldn't want us to spend the year mourning. Jason would want us to move on with our lives. Which is why I've asked the School Board not to cancel the Back-to-School semiformal." Cheering rang out as Phlox took over for her "But rather, to let us use it as a way to heal, collectively, and celebrate Jason too, too short life on this mortal coil. Thank you all."  When they both finished Cheryl lead them out of the gym. Both of then walked with with confidence that neither of them had at the moment. Cheryl and phlox both wanted to crawl in the ball, and foxes bedroom and cried her eyes out like they had been doing for the past month. But they both knew that they couldn't for they had to stay strong and fierce for the Beloved Jason. Later on they both found themselves sitting outside with a group of "friends". Phlox' s attention was on the red rose she held in her hand. Everyday she would pick a red rose for Cheryl. Phlox look to her right when she wrote after shoulder getting her attention, looking over sheets saw Veronica Lodge. They both know who she was quite frankly Fox wasn't interested in meeting her. She's always been a welcoming girl to everyone but for some reason she just can't get past meeting someone new, maybe and feared they would take over Jason spot in her heart or they would help make her forget Jason. Thankfully Cheryl didn't drag her over, to speak to her. Holding out the red rose to Cheryl watched a smile grace her lips. This caused the Blonde smile her self. Roses was Cheryl weakness. They bother knew that. "I love you.." Phlox s voice was smooth and velvet. Everytime Cheryl heard it goosebumps would rise on her arms. Her heart would slow down in a calm manner. That's what Phlox did for her.. calmed her down. Sending a bigger smile to her she tugged her up. "Come on.. time to meet the new girl." With those words.. Phlox knew nothing would be the same.
