Phlox watched as Archie Andrews quickly left when he saw them approaching. She swore she saw guilt crawl on his face but just as fast as she saw it, it left. Shaking it off she put on a fake beaming smile. Even though she felt broken, she couldn't show it. "Veronica Lodge, I'd heard whisperings. I'm Cheryl Blossom, may I sit? Betty, would you mind? So, what are you three hens gossiping about? Archie's Efron-esque emergence from the chrysalis of puberty? Extracurriculars." Betty moved for the two beautiful girls to sit down. She felt uncomfortable being around them but held her tongue. Phlox didn't pay attention the conversation. She was to busy glaring at Betty to care about anything. In her heart she knew betty didn't make her sister choice for her.. But they looked so much alike. "Is cheerleading still a thing?" This came from the gay best friend of Betty Cooper. Kevin Geller. Before she could stop them the words left her lips "Is being the gay best friend still a thing" the words came out as a hiss. This caused everyone's eyes to snap towards her but she didn't care. Her eyes was looking deep into Kevins. They got along well till third grade when he stopped talking to her, of course she was hurt and still sent him smiles when ever they saw one other. Everyone but Betty stared her shocked. Phlox summers was a kind heart girl. In betty's minds Jason flashed and she knew he had ruined her like he had ruined Polly. Veronica stared at the Blonde with interest. She recognize her from earlier at the assembly but didn't know her name. Of course Betty and Kevin both filled her in with Cheryl blossom but not this person she didn't remember anything about her or knew anything about her. So she was anxious to get to know the girl, maybe they could become friends. Cheryl quickly got the attention on her just as fast as it left. She knew phlox could hardly care about them at the moment she was dealing with her own heartbreak. Silently Phlox watched the conversation come to end and Cheryl stand up. Slowly she stood up and ignored the looks she was receiving from Betty and Kevin. Making eye contact with the Red she loved, she let a smile grace a her lips and turned towards the three. The old Phlox summers peeked through, "Betty I'll stop by tonight to deliver the flowers for your mom." The words sound happy a bubbly. Betty shifted when she felt the eyes of veronica on her. Nodding her head, she watched as they walked away.

Phlox walked slowly toward The  Cooper' s front door. In her right hand she was carrying a lilac and pink-ish white roses. She didn't have alot today seeing how ever Sunday Alice came in to buy flowers for the week. In her left hand was a basket full of oils and other things. She would have dropped this off tomorrow but seeing as Betty liked to use the oils also, she figured she was dropped them for the dance. When she arrive near the door, she paused and let out a deep breath. Using her right hand she rang the door bell. She only had to wait a few moment before Alice Cooper opened the door. Of course it was slightly awkward between the two but Alice could put much resentment towards the girl. "Phlox! What a surprise, please come in." Her force was only slightly fake but she respected. Phlox shook her head gently.. "I can't Mrs.Cooper, I only came to drop this off for you. I have to hurry home after this." Alice send a smile and quickly grabbed the flowers from her hand along with the basket. Phlox sent a smile towards Alice one last time and turned to leave.  Phlox only had to worry about getting to Cheyls place, seeing as Cheryl already had Phlox s dress and shoes. So she set off walked towards cheryls place..A little while later, Phlox stood next to Cheryl on the stage. She looked out towards the crowed, waiting for Cheryl to talk. She didn't have to wait long before Cheyls voice rang out across the room. "Good evening, friends. Are you all having a good time?" Phlox watched everyone cheered out and  silently watched Cheryl finish her speech."As honorary chairperson and de facto queen of tonight's semiformal, it is my great pleasure to introduce this evening's main entertainment. To know them is to be obsessed with them. Though they usually perform their own material, tonight, they're making an exception and debuting a cover of the song my parents claim they were listening to the night Jason and I were conceived." Cheyls last sentence caused Phlox to smile and let out a chuckle. Only Cheryl..would say something like that. Standing forward she grabbed Cheyls hand, she sent a smile towards the girl she loved. "This is for you JJ." Together they raised their right hands and said "we give you Josie and the Pussycats. " Phlox left the party early that night. She wasn't in the mood to deal with Betty or Cheyl tonight. All She wanted to do was be in the safety of her garden, even if it was late at night. She would curl next to willow tree and cry her eyes out or stare at a red rose..because that's who they were to her. Her roses and we all know roses die at some point. "Oh..jason."
