The next day, LaMelo drives me to school.

His flight leaves after school.

LaMelo keeps on joking about staying at school with me while I am getting dressed.

"I could be with you all day!" LaMelo says grabbing my backpack for me.

"No," I tell him for the billionth time.

"Why not?"

"Because, something bad will happen."

LaMelo groans.

"You suck!"

LaMelo drives me to school and he parks in the student parking lot.

"I'll miss you," I peck his lips.

"How come, I'm coming with you!"

I roll my eyes. "You're crazy!"

LaMelo gets out of the car before walking to my side of the car opening the door for me.

I don't want him to get in trouble, but he wants to spend time with me.

LaMelo and I walk into the school and people stare at him.

His friends get all hyped up when they see him walking with me.

Caleb walks over to LaMelo and I and they do a handshake.

"Did Joslyn tell you?" LaMelo asked Caleb.

Caleb looks at me and he shakes his head no.

Tell him what?

I look at LaMelo confused.

"She doesn't have a date to prom since I'm not gonna be here...we both agreed on letting you take her, I trust you."

"Oh, okay cool!" Caleb smiles.

The minute bell rings and Caleb walks away.

LaMelo and I walk to my first period class.

There is a sub and she doesn't count the students, she just shouts everyone's names.

By lunchtime, I hang out with LaMelo and a few of his friends.

I eat my pick-up sticks and LaMelo grabs another fork.

He picks up a piece of my chicken.

I look at him sideways.

"Excuse you!" I look him up and down.

"I'm freaking hungry, don't eat my food!"

"Learn how to share!" LaMelo argues.
