October 16th 2018

"This is Ethan Marner" the lady said as she introduced me to my new co worker.

"I'm Hannah Adams the new special events planner." I said with a smile as I shook his hand.

"Will you show Miss. Adams around?" The lady asked Ethan.

"Sure thing." Ethan replied and gave a smile.

"This is the equipment room and extra things like stick tape and smell salts." He explained.

Nodding in acknowledgment we continued down the hallway.

"The best room in the building!" Ethan said jokingly.

"Oh boy," I said laughing trying to pull the giant doors open. Finally with all my might I was able to open the maple leaf doors.

In the distance you can hear sticks and yelling. Indicating the guys must be at practice.

"Here we have the locker room as you probably guessed," Ethan continued.

Looking amazement at all the jerseys, and all the exercise equipment. The walls were white with inspirational quotes in dark blue.

In came the guys after practice ended. All the guys stop once they seen us looking around at the locker room.

"Hey loser," A guy said to Ethan As we were heading out the door.

"Oh Hello ass hat." Ethan replied to the guy as they both laughed. Looking at the two with confusion. They realized and explained how they are cousins.

"Guys," He said to the team as they are all at the cubbie areas.

"This is Hannah Adams the new event planner." Ethan said introducing me to the team.

"Hello" they said all together.

Waving at the guys as we left the room. I couldn't help but notice a man looking at me from the corner of my eye. He had a mysterious look to him.

It's currently 12:30pm so I've been an event planner for officially 4 hours.

It's been quite boring but it's only my first day. I need to get to know the players schedules and stuff like that.

Ethan explained to me how to plan player appearances, at grocery stores, sport stores and other places that players go to.

"In the next few weeks all help you plan your first player appearance." Ethan stated.

Nodding in understanding, "So who should we pick? Also where do players mostly go?" I asked with curiously.

"Good question," he said laughing lightly.

"People always what players with big names like Mitch Marner, and Auston Matthews. But we always can't work that out so we always try to give rookies and lesser known players a chance to meet fans." Ethan continued.

Looking in the large dark gray binder at all the places players normally go to, mostly sponsors.

"Paul's Sports & more has requested two players to an appearance on November 4th," I showed Ethan.

"He's a really cool guy, players love going there." He pointed out.

"Who do you think should go?" I asked.

"How about Matthews and my cousin Mitch? They are friendly faces and you should get to know them because you will have to work with them a lot." He explained.

"Okay I'll go call Paul and get this set up." I said happily with a smile.
