Chapter 9

Ethan grabbed my small hand as we try to find our seats for the game tonight. The leafs are playing the Dallas Stars tonight.

The boys skate onto the ice as we sit down in our seats.

Smiling at Auston as he skates by with the puck during warm ups. He smiles back as he sees me, he scans the crowd. His brown eyes grow large as he looks at a blonde woman smiling at him. She's wearing a Matthews jersey.

Looking at the two confused. Ethan notices what's going on and gives me a smile and candy to keep my mind off this.

I'm not sure why Auston gave a surprised look at that girl. Maybe they are friends or family I thought.

Unfortunately, the Stars won 3-1, Auston tried scoring but the Stars defense was good. When heading down to the locker room with Ethan I got this weird feeling in my core.

What I see in front of me broke my heart. My biggest fear making me lose trust in Auston. The guy I gave my heart to and he shattered me.

The blonde girl from earlier kissing my boyfriend. Her hands in his hair. He pulls back and sees me looking shocked and scared.

"Hannah it's not what it looks like I promise," He says looking worried.

Shaking my head in disbelief, as my eyes begin to water. Ethan grabs my hand to try and comfort me as I feel my world crumbling around me.

"What's it look like then?" I asked as my voice cracks, wiping away a few tears.

"I swear I don't-" He begins as I cut him off.

"I'm done Auston! I gave you my heart and you smashed it." I reply raise my voice.

Walking away with Ethan not looking back. I hear footsteps behind me as I cry out.

"Stop it Auston I'm done just leave!" I say.

"I'm so sorry Hannah." Ethan says as we lay in my bed watching a walk to remember, and eating ice cream.

"I'm just sad I gave him my heart and I feel stupid." I say leaning on his shoulder.

"I'm always here for you because you're my best friend and I love you." He replied.

"I love you too Ethan." I say showing a weak smile.

I feel soft lips against mine, I don't know how to feel. But I like it so I kiss back. Pulling away I open my eyes.

"I'm sorry," Ethan says as I look at him.

"Don't be." I replied to my friend.
