Mitch invited me to his apartment to play video games with him and Auston. I'm actually really bad at video games, so I hope we play Mario Kart.
Putting on a grey hoodie, black leggings and tan uggs. I headed out the door after petting my cat, Delta.
Knocking on the door, I'm met with Mitch. He has on a navy blue shirt on and long black shorts. His bed head was very notable. Taking my hands I smooth out his messy hair and try to tame the beast.
"I tamed the wild beast." I say with a smile as I enter his apartment.
Mitch's apartment is your average bachelor pad. He had tan hardwood floors, a kitchen island with marble countertops. Black leather couches in the middle of the living room with a big flat screen tv and video games councils connected.
Auston looks up as I sit next to him on the floor. Putting his phone away he smiles and says hello.
"Okay, let the fun begin!" Mitch says excitedly.
"What should we play?" Auston asks the two of us.
"I'm not much of a gamer," I state as the guys start laughing hysterically.
When they noticed I was being serious, they quickly quieted down. The guys look at each other and they shrugged.
"What have you played?" Auston asks.
"Do you want my honest answer?" I say sheepishly.
The two hockey players nod as they wait for my answer.
"Mario Kart." I finish.
The two men try not to laugh until they couldn't hold it in longer.
"We can play that." Mitch says as he wipes away a tear from laughing so hard.
Mitch starts to look for Mario Kart as knock at the door stops Mitch from looking.
Mitch pays for the pizza he ordered, one cheese and one pepperoni.
"Have you ever had Poutine?" Mitch asks me.
"No, but I will sometime." I say as I take a bite of my pizza.
"Oh no." Auston says rolling his eyes. I look over with concern.
"What?!?" Mitch says almost yelling.
Auston and I look at each other as we laugh at the crazed Canadian.
" Poutine is the best dish in the world, crispy golden fries with light brown gravy and gooey cheese curds." Mitch says licking his lips almost drooling.
Auston and I break into a laugh as Mitch gives a look of annoyance.

Auston asked if I could give him a ride back to his apartment. Of course I said I would, he's a really nice person.Bored by Billie Eilish plays softy in the background as we drive away from Mitch's apartment.
"What was it like getting drafted by Toronto?" I asked as I look over at Auston.
His dark brown eyes look into my lighter brown eyes. A small smile creeps onto his face showing a glimpse of his white teeth.
"It was the best day of my life. I couldn't have wished for anything better. It has given me so many opportunities that I couldn't do with other team. I'm really thankful." He confesses.
"What made you get into hockey?" He questions as I focus on the road ahead.
"I went to Chicago when I was 7 years old with my parents and my older brother, Brett. My dad bought us tickets to a Blackhawks game. I remember that they played against the Arizona Coyotes. I loved the way they looked like they where flying." I say remembering little details.
Pulling into the apartment complex I stop outside apartment 26.
"Thank you for the ride I really appreciate it." He says reaching his hand over to my face, brushing my raven black hair behind my ear.
Smiling as he looks at me. My heart beats fast as he says his goodbyes and closes the door.
I'm officially in love with Auston Matthews....
