I told you so | Auston Matthews

Chapter 5

I've been working for the Leafs for 4 months now and I'm glad I got this job. I made new friends and I get to watch the sport I love for free.

Ethan and I managed to get seats in front of the glass. Ethan had on a white Marner 16 Jersey with his brown hair covered by a Snapchat. I had on a navy blue jersey and my signature black leggings.

"I'm going to go get us some beers," Ethan said as he leaves.

The team comes out for warm ups as the music starts playing. A little girl about the age of 5 smiles and watches in amazement.

"Do you want a puck?" I ask her as her eyes light up.

I bang on the glass as Auston skates by, he looks confused but I point at the girl with blonde pig tails, and a small cute Matthews jersey.

He tosses over a puck as it lands in my hands. Handing over the black rubber, the girls smile is bigger that Mitch when he sees Poutine.

Her mother thanks me as they go back to the seats. Ethan comes back and hands me my beer.

The leafs won 4-2 against the Florida Panther. Auston got 4 goals! I'm not ever sure how but it was amazing the energy in the area was so powerful. That's how the fans are win or lose.

To celebrate that fantastic win we headed over to Baileys pub, Will Nylander came along too.

Will Nylander become my friend a few weeks ago after Mitch, Ethan, Auston and I went to the arcade. It was so funny when Will won a giant panda bear, almost the same size as him.

"Congrats on the goals," I say taking a bite out of the onion ring.

"Thanks." Auston says taking a sip of his beer.

"You too are sooooooo cute." Will says giggling while he hiccups. Will had a few too many beers.

"You're really drunk right now Will. We should take you home." I say as he shoves an onion ring in his mouth.

Mitch and Auston help Will into the car as I drive Auston and Will home. The car ride is quite as Will passed out in the backseat.

"Did you enjoy the game?" Auston asks already knowing my answer.

"No, it was really boring." I say sarcastically.

Chuckling, he replies "well I tried my hardest to make it that way just for you."

As we arrived the guys apartment building, I look at him, looking at the details of our eyes. Auston has small flakes of gold him them.

Leaning forward we collide our lips together like the world was ending.

"Oh my gosh! You guys are perfect!" A voice yelled with excitement.

"Let's get you to your apartment." Auston says getting out of the car.

"I'll see you Monday at the rink." He smiles as he says goodbye.

"Byyyyyeeee!" Will screams as I pull away.
