(Ahaha,references)

About a year went by
Shadow continued to help Andrew as much as she could
when he cried she stayed by him
When he was happy she laughed with him

Life was..looking a lot better for them
Andrew almost forgetting his ordeals
But eventually it crept back into his life
He needs answers
He needs to know why
And..a part of him wants vengeance

With the guidance and blessing of the olders he was allowed to leave with shadow to find answers

"This is so exciting mom!we're going on an adventure!" Shadow said happily while packing some of her things
Her mom smiled,but was crying
"Aww mom, don't worry" shadow walked to her and hugged her
"I'll be okay mom, don't worry" she said
"But I do worry shadow,I don't want you to get hurt" her mom whimpered
"I wont get hurt mom,Andrew will protect me,right Andrew?"
Andrew nodded
"I swear I won't let any harm come to her" Andrew said
"See mom?"
She smiled slightly and hugged shadow tightly
"I know he will..just be careful okay?"
Shadow nodded
"I will mom"

-------------

I hugged my mom one last time before we left knowing that what lays ahead of us wont be easy..
We're both only teens after all
What can we do?
As we left my village...my home Andrew looked at me,I could see anger in his eyes, but also sadness and regret
And me....I felt dread,I was scared and I couldn't shake that feeling...It should of been obvious why...

"Writing in your diary?i use to do that.."
"Huh?oh ya..I'm just not use to being out here so this helps keep Me calm"
"Don't worry..your not the only one...I'm so use to high walls and a roof over my head,I was so scared to leave my home when I was little"
I tilted my head and looked at him
"Why?didn't you like the outside?"
"No,no,nothing like that..i-i had a stupid fear, from reading so many books, one of those books talked about..well the sky falling-"
"Wait you where scared of the sky falling?!" I laughed
"Ha ha,I know,I was teased about it..."
"O-oh sorry"
"Its okay,I got over it....anyways,one day my dad came with me outside and showed me something..he had made a small telescope"
"What's that?" I asked
"Its like a mirror, but instead of letting you see yourself it helps you see things far away"
I nodded,sounds interesting
"So he showed me it and he said 'look into it,and you'll see why we always look up' I had no idea what he was talking about at the time, but when I looked into it,up at that blue sky..it was faint but there, the stars were behind it"
He chuckled slightly
"I learnt that day that the sky cant fall onto us...its whats floating up there that can,not that thats any less terrifying"
I giggled slightly
"Ya"
He went silent for a moment before continuing
"..my dad would take me outside every night with our telescopes and we would point them up at the stars..w-we would count how many we saw and t-try name them"
I looked at Andrew who was crying
I stopped and hugged him
"I-i miss them" he whimpered
"I know...I know"
(Meh,you decide if its good or not, while you do that,I'm going to hit the hay)
