chapter 6: mend whats broken,fight on

"W-what" shadow asked
"S..sorry im just not...not use to talking with a void walker..at all" andrew said,slightly scared
"Is it because we take corpses?"
Andrew shivered
"dont remind me"
Andrew lowered his head
His thoughts brought back to his family,his friends and his clan
He whimpered,his ears lay back
"Shadow am I...am I the only one..."
"What?" She asked
"Left....from my...my clan" his voice croaked as he spoke
"O-oh....I don't know..."
Tears appeared in his eyes
His young heart sank
He is the only one left,isn't he..
Shadow sat next to him
"Im sure someone lived" she said trying to reassure him
"...not from that.." he said,his voice braking as he layed his face in his paws
Whimpered slightly
"My mom and dad are gone...my friends...my whole family..." he cried
Shadow hugged him
She was cold,like a reptile,but he presences helped
She wouldn't know what to say,that everything will be alright?
Its not...
That someone might still be alive?
After looking at the landscape,she even knows that's impossible
So she did what she could
And just stayed there with him until he calmed down
Until he was able to speak again
"Are you hungry?" She tried to asked
Hoping to get his mind off of things
"W..what....?"
"You know,stomach growling"
"O-oh......yes.....abit I guess" he said
He still couldn't see anything,but he could feel her move away and hear her start making something
Then suddenly sparks and then a small fire laminated the room
He could finally see
He was in some kind of clay and wood home,its walls a dark purple like color
A large metal pot lay just above the fire
And standing next to it,a naked feminine reptile like creature,with a bone mask covering her face,and bones on her arms and legs
Andrew blushed and looked away
"I-i didn't realise you where...naked" he said embarrassed
She giggled
"You idiot,im not naked,my body is covered in scales"
"Dosent look like it" he wispered to himself
He looked down
"So...if you dont mind me asking...who was your clan?"
"....iron...." he said
She looked at him and sighed
"Im sorry,it must be hard..loosing so much"
He noded slightly
"Well,you can stay with us as long as you want"
She said with a smile
He looked at her alittle stunned
He hardly knows her,same goes for her
Yet she already accepts him
He didn't notice it at first,but he was crying again
His heart ached as she smiled
"Why do this,we barely know each other"
She noded
"Your asking the wrong question,it should be why not?" She said with a giggle
Andrew sighed
There's no point in arguing with her
"Anyways,I made some soup for you"
He noded,grateful as she handed him a bowl
It looked kind of gray with strange cubes floating in it
He looked at it alittle pale
"Um..I dont want to sound ungrateful but uh...whats in this?"
"Dont worry about it,its really tasty" she said eating some of it from his bowl
He sighed and closed his eyes
H-how bad could it be,right?

He took a spoon full and sat there for a couple moments,silent
"Aaand?" She asked
He swallowed and sighed
"N-not as bad as I thought it would be.."

(A meh chapter,but I was short on time(and creativity)so its the best I could do,also im keeping this "sfw" so dont worry about mature stuff,well except bloody battle,gore,ect)
