Chapter 5 - Say You're Just a Friend.
"Do you still wanna meet me tonight?"
_______
15 minutes later, Alex heard a car slow down and the engine shutting off. Alex asked Luke to meet her at her house, texting him her address after
they ended the call.
Alex looked down at her phone just to receive a text from Luke, saying he was waiting outside. Alex smiled to herself, walking towards her bedroom window.
She opened it and jumped out, landing on the soft grass. She got up, dusting herself while walking to Luke's beat up mustang.
He smiled at her leaning to open the door to the passenger seat. She muttered a shy Thank you while getting in.
"So where do you wanna go?" Luke asked, his hands shaking nervously. Well, obviously he'd be nervous as he was in the same car as the person he likes.
"I know a place." Alex said smirking at him. She guided him to the local bar the girls go to. The manger of the bar liked the girls. As long they didn't cause
much trouble in the bar.
"Here? They're gonna let us in?" Luke asked her skeptically when they reached the bar that named 'Lou's Tavern.'
"Of course." Alex said smiling at him like it was the most obvious thing in the world before getting out the car.
They both walked towards the bar, Luke trailing behind Alex as he was unsure of what else to do. They walked in, there weren't many people in there.
The guy who was near the door, enjoying his beer smiled lovingly at Alex as she walked in smiling back at him. But he shot up his seat when he saw Luke,
glaring at him.
"He's with me, Dan." Alex said coolly, walking to an empty booth.
Dan gave him a final glare before sitting back. Luke walked faster to Alex. He sat down on the seat opposite to hers.
"So come here often?" Luke asked creeped out, cocking his head to Dan and the bartender who was still staring down at him.
Alex laughed lightly before replying, "Not really. They like the girls and me."
"TWO BEERS PLEASE?" Alex called out looking at the bartender, raising her hand holding up two fingers.
"So tell me, what's your story?" Alex asked looking back at Luke.
"My story?" Luke asked confused.
"Yeah, your story." Alex said, "Thanks, Brad." Alex said smiling to the bartender who put down two bottles of beer on their table.
