*A week later.

Y/n P.O.V

A week has passed since Ozpin has been training everyone. Everyone from what I'm hearing seems to be improving. As of the moment I'm sitting by the sidelines with Jaune, and Nora as Ruby is sparing with Oscar. I listen in anticipation listening to their movements and keeping a mental image of how the fight is going. As the fight continues Jaune impressed says aloud.

Jaune: Man, Oz wasn't kidding. Oscar's picking up on this stuff fast.

Y/n: Yeah at this rate he may be able to hold himself in an actual fight soon.

I hear Oscar go on the offensive and push Ruby back and soon after Oscar lands a direct hit on Ruby. I'm guessing with the soon to follow silence it was in the face and I Oscar says apologetically and also scared says.

Oscar: Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry!

I jump in trying to calm down Ruby.

Y/n: Petals....relax this fight isn't-

I hear Ruby yell out and clock Oscar back as he lands a few feet away on the ground. As he falls to the ground Jaune, Nora, and I all wince for the poor boy. Ruby not feeling the same exclaims in a very happy tone.

Ruby: Ha! Yes! I did it.

Oscar groans in pain and Ruby now realizing what she did calls out to Oscar in a slightly worried tone.

Ruby: Oscar?

A moment of so passes and Oscar yell at who I'm assuming is Ozpin in an annoyed tone.

Oscar: Why didn't you tell me?

There's an awkward silence for a moment and Oscar groans as he gets back on his feet. A moment later I feel a surge of aura reappear, and I know they must have switched places meaning Ruby's about to get a taste of her own medicine.

Ozpin: Not bad, Miss Rose. But Oscar doesn't have the years of training that you do. Or I do.

I feel Ozpin's aura rise and Jaune, Nora realizes what Ruby is in for. I hear Ozpin slowly walk towards Ruby. In return Ruby nervously tries to get out of this sparring match.

Ruby: Oh, ha, well, maybe we should uh... take a break.

I hear Ozpin rush and attack Ruby with a few punches. From the sound of her blocking, it sounds as if he's aiming for the head. With Ruby being forced onto the defensive Ozpin has full control of the fight and it soon after ends as I hear him land a blow to her face which knocks her back several feet. I thought the fight was done, but I hear Ozpin toward her and land a kick embedding itself from the sound of it into her face. Ruby in retaliation after getting back up tries to leaps at Ozpin but her tumbling a bit followed by the sound of Ozpin counterattack everyone winces for Ruby and Nora says all that needs to be said.

Nora: Ouch.

Ozpin still a teacher gives his feedback on what could loosely be called a fight.

Ozpin: The next time you want to throw a left cross, remember to push off with the appropriate foot. And as always, do be aware of any openings.

Ruby: Gooooot it.

I feel Ozpin's aura disappear followed by Oscar falling to the ground, panting. Ruby seeing Oscar trying to catch his breath ask.

Ruby: Oh! Hey. Are you okay?

Oscar: How is this so exhausting?

Ren who I nearly forgot was meditating nearby answers Oscar's question.
