When I wake, the smell of his heavenly scent and the sound of snoring gets to me "Thor, stop snoring!" I groan and roll over towards him, only to feel the cold ground beside the tiny matress.
When the events of yesterday flood my mind, I sigh and look around the raggedy tent. The only things that inhabit it are: a toothbrush, a pair of scissors, a shirt he usually wore under his armor, and a couple pairs of boxer briefs.
With a sigh, I stand and grab the shirt, which smells like him, and a pair of boxers, which smell miraculously clean. After I dress in them, I walk out of the tent and close it behind me.
The snoring comes from the tent on the opposite side of the room. Once I look around, I find seven tents. Thor's is an obnoxiously red tent. Steve sleeps in a patriotic blue tent that's slightly larger than Thor's . The largest one, is a green and purple tent. By the looks of the spare parts surrounding it, it belonged to Banner. The smallest is blue, in the middle of the room, close to the windows. By the looks of it, it was Rocket's, considering the bionic hand that lays just inside of the tent. One is made out of rhino hide. Probably Okoye's. Another is as big as mine and black and purple. The neatness of the tent tells me it's Natasha's. The last is a grey tent next to Steve and, roughly, the same size as Steve's. By process of elimination, it's Sam's.
After a quick trip to the bathroom, I sit in the main window and create an illusion.
I'm at the bifrost. It's ripping apart Jotunheim. Thor flies up to the bifrost and I growl "You can't stop it." He looks at me like I'm mad "The bifrost will build until it rips Jotunheim apart."
He shakes his head and runs up to the ice, trying to break it to get to the sword, but I hit him in the chest with a bolt of power from the kingly staff.
When he backs up, he asks sadly "Why have your done this?"
"To prove to father that I am the worthy son." I growl "When he awakes, I will have saved his life. I will have destroyed that race of monsters. And I will be true heir to the throne."
He looks at me solemnly "You can't kill an entire race." he demands.
"Why not?" I ask, scoffing and starting down the steps "And what is this new found love for the frost giants?" turning the blame to him "You!" I begin "Could have killed them all with your bare hands."
"I've change." he insists in a stern voice.
"So have I." I state with a grim smile, before smacking him with the flat of the staff "Now fight me." I demand, before pushing him to the ground "I never wanted the throne." I growl. When I starting towards him, he stands "I only wanted to be your equal."
He screams "I will not fight you brother!"
"I'm not your brother." I say with my calm, and deadly, composure still in tact "I never was."
He looks at me, confused slightly "Loki, this is madness!"
"Is it madness?" I ask, starting to shake in anger "Is it?" I repeat, before completely losing my composer and hissing "Is it?" he gives me a horrified look and I continue "I don't know what happened to you on earth that made you so soft!" I huff in anger "Don't tell me it was that woman?" he doesn't say a word, so I continue "Oh! It was! Well maybe when we're done here, I give her a visit myself!"
With that, we charge at each other, screaming in anger. He lands on top of me, but I kick him off and come after him with the staff. He kicks my leg out from under me and I block a hammer blow with the staff, before kicking him in the face and getting on my feet after him. After blocking three blows, I kick him in the ass and he falls face first.
Running up to him, I pounce in the air and bring my staff down to his chest, only, he rolls and the staff ends up in the ere flooring.
When I can't get it out, Thor tries to hit me in the face, but I duck and swing around the staff to kick him back in the chest. With a laugh of victory, I pull out the staff and start blocking blows from Thor.
When I try to stab him, he pushes the staff aside and elbows me in the jaw. Then, he tosses me across the room.
As he jumps at me, hammer swinging in hand, I shoot power at him with the staff. But, he grabs me and shoots us out of the bifrost cover, via creating a hole in the side of the cover.
I land on the side of the bridge with one hand holding my up, only, my real self is still on the bridge "Thor!" the illusion of me pleads as he manages to get both of his hands on the bridge. Thor gets up and walks to him. He pleads "Brother please."
With a slight hesitation, Thor reaches down and tries to grab the illusion, but it disappears and I hit Thor with the power from the staff.
While he's down, I surround him with the illusion of myself, but he hits all of us with lightning and screams "Enough!"
When I fall back, the others disappear and I drop the staff. Thor simply walks over and lays the hammer on my chest, before walking back towards the bifrost with difficulty.
When he can't get any further, I growl "Look at you!" he looks back to me "The Mighty Thor?" he goes back to his original target "With all your strength. And what good does it do you now, huh?" I throw my head back in defeat, seeing as I can't move the hammer, before screaming "Do you hear me brother?" I groan at the restriction "There's nothing you can do!"
When he calls his hammer to him, I hear a cracking, before finally looking up to see him smashing at the bridge. "What are you doing?" I ask in shock, before screaming "If you destroy the bridge you'll never see her again!"
As he continues, I run after him with the staff. I hear him speak "Forgive me Jane." Before I jump at him. But, he's too fast. His last blow hits the bridge and it explodes, kicking us backwards and pushing the bifrost over the cliff.
As we fall, my helmet falls off and I grip the staff, like it would help. As I look down, I know I won't catch the edge of the bifrost, but still, I stop.
When I look up, I find Thor grips the end of the staff. But he's not on the bifrost either. His foot is held by Odin.
I stare up at both of them, before looking to Odin "I could have done it father!" I insist "I could have done it!" He looks at me regretfully "For you!" I insist, before continuing "For all of us!"
"No Loki." Odin states, disappointedly.
I give both of them a knowing look and Thor stares down at me "Loki no!" Thor pleads, before I let go of the staff and feel my weight drop. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Thor screams as he is forced to watch me drop. He reaches out for me like he would be able to grab me. But he can't. I'm too far gone.
"Loki?" I practically jump as Steve whispers it.
"How long have you been watching?" I ask, not looking at him as I let the illusion disappear and wipe my eyes.
"Well, I've been awake since you got back." he states, before walking closer "But I've been watching since 'The bifrost will build until it rips Jotunheim apart.'"
I give an apologetic look and he shrugs "I'm guessing that was pre New York?" I give a weak nod and he sighs "Honestly, that explains a lot."
He starts to walk towards me again, but I clear my throat "I'm going to go take a look around." I stand and walk back to my tent, pulling on my clothes from yesterday. After I'm dressed, I push the scissors into my pocket and leave the tent, closing it behind me.
