As I sit against the window, watching an illusion. This on is a movie I saw in the cinema "Thor." The other me whispers "Pass the licorice."
He passes it to other me, before whispering "Hold this." without looking, other me takes it, only to find it's his hand.
"You're an arse." Other me whispers.
I dismiss the illusion as Gamora sits next to me "You never told me." I state "How did you survive?"
"I didn't." She admits "The soul stone asked for a soul. And when the stone was destroyed, it revived me"
"How did you get here?" I ask, readjusting my body to face her "It makes sense that you're still alive, but why here?"
"Tony." she shrugs "After everything, Thanos came back for me. I forced him to take me to Nebula and Tony told us about Wakanda's air shield."
"Oh." I say simply, before we slip into a comfortable silence.
It's only broken when the computer hologram comes online "I found a way to fix the air filtrater!" Shuri screams.
In an instant, we're surrounding the hologram "Okay, what do we do?" Tony asks, scratching his cheek.
"Well... we have to problem." Shuri speaks wearily, before continuing "No vibranium can pass through the entrance."
"No problem." Steve smirks patriotically "We'll just pass through with our original clothes on."
"That won't work." Ta'Challa interjects "After a prolonged period of time, the vibranium soaks into the skin."
Nebula throws her hands up in surrender and Gamora sighs "Can any of us fit through?"
"Loki should." Shuri states "He hasn't been there too long." She shrugs "You could try it if you'd like."
"Well, is it safe?" Thanos asks, stepping forward and receive a questioning look "If there's a possible that he can't fit through, what will happen?"
"The electromagnetic field will repel him as far away as possible resulting in him being spread evenly around the room, killing him instantly." Shuri explains, not even looking up.
"Okay, we're not doing that." Tony interjects, before looking towards me "We're not risking it."
"And if I don't, we'll all die." I badger, causing Stark to stare at me in loathing "I'm going in, rather you object or not."
After a silent moment, I look to Shuri with target set eyes "Okay, what am I doing?" I ask and she smirks.
~
"You have your earpiece?" Steve asks as we stand over the vent that leads down to the filtrater. When I give a short anxious nod, he knocks my shoulder "You'll be fine."
I nod and look down at a small vent "If I'm not..." I begin, before look up to him with sorrowful eyes "You have to be the one to tell Thor."
After a second of hesitation, he nods and we look down at the vent "Do we need to heave you down?"
"No." I sigh, before holding out my hands and pulling off the vent hood "I've got this." I smirk, before sitting on the ground and starting down the shoot.
When I need my arms, I squeeze my thighs against the side to hold me up. When I needed my thighs, I squeeze my arms against the side to secure myself. It's not until my horns pull my head up. They can't fit through "What are we going to do?" Stark asks as I dangle by my horns.
"Shut up." I hiss as I try to focus on making my horns disappear, with little success. With a grunt, I try again.
"What, are you pooping?" Stark asks "What are you trying to do?"
"I said shut up!" I growl as I brace myself as I feel my horns disappear. When my head drops from the strain, I smirk "It's been five years since I did this."
"Whatever, get going Reindeer Games." Stark orders as I continue my descent.
When my foot finally skims the bottom, I drop on my heels and roll through the opening "Shuri?" I ask "How do you get in here?"
"I haven't had to go down there." she admits "It was one of my earlier thoughts... I didn't think it through that well."
When I let my horns out and stand, I face a large machine "So, how do I fix this?"
"Start towards the computer panel and push system check." I walk over and follow her instruction "What does it say?"
"Low levels of vibranium detected and T-1495 dead connection." She curses under her breath and I frown "I'd prefer the bad news first."
"Your ankle." she replies "The medbed heals by using vibranium radiation." I nod, not really thinking she can't see it "Just, keep your ankle as far away as possible."
"Fair enough." I state, before continuing to follow her instructions, that I get curious "Shuri, what am I missing over there?" she denies I'm miss anything and I sigh "I know I am. Tony let it slip about two weeks ago."
She goes silent for awhile, before Natasha comes over the earpiece "Hey big guy, how's it going over there?"
"Don't avoid the subject." I insist while rewiring T-1495 "I know somethings off. What is it?"
"Thor." she states.
A sudden burning hurts my heart and I stop working "What's wrong with Thor?"
After a long moment of silence, she clears her throat "He's locked himself in the apartment. It's been storming ever since you left."
"Natasha?" I ask, before continuing to rewire "Do you remember what I told you? The night before I left?"
"I am." she states "I drop food and reminders at the door every day."
"Thanks." I clear my throat.
"I've also return the FatBoy to your garage." she admits "After a couple days of using it." there's another second "Weeks."
"How'd you get the keys?" I ask, before remembering "They were in my locked locker!"
"Your password is Odinson." she states too confidently "34-15-36-5" I stop what I'm doing and she continues "Thor's is the same."
"Well that's nice to know." I chuckle, before connecting the last wire "I believe I'm done."
Shuri comes back "It's done, get back up the vent and I'll start it back up."
After a long climb, Thanos pulls me up and I lay on the floor "Did you fix it?" Tony asks, leaning over me.
I nod and stand up "We should be fine for the next month and a half."
"What happens then?" M'Baku asks.
Nebula sighs "We go home."
