{??? POV}

"LET ME OUT!" I yelled banging on the door.

"Sorry sir, I can not do that." I heard the same voice say outside the door. I stopped pounding on the door and leaned my forehead against it. I felt the tears trickle down my cheeks as I silently cried. I pulled away from the door and walked over to the wall farthest from the door. She couldn't do this. Take me from my lover and my family. Lock me away for me to help her experiment on children. I took my lab coat off and threw it across the room, leaving me in my suit. I was going to escape. I'm going to save the children and go back to my love. Even if it means I have to let him out. I sighed and sat down, my back facing the wall. I'm a scientist. I can make something to help me out right. And I won't have to use my last resort. I closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep.

"I'm coming back, Ben."

-Back with the kids.-

"What?" Adam asked.

"This was all a test. We wanted to see if you could escape." Ms. Sieraa said smiling.

"Told you." Adam mumbled.

"You guys broke the record. Now please follow us." Eric said walking out following behind Ms. Sieraa. The children followed with the guards following behind them. They were led back down the hallway but in a different direction. A scream was heard and the kids stopped.

"Keep moving." One of the guards said pushing Aphmau forward. The kids complied and kept walking. Ms. Sieraa turned a corner and stopped.

"Get in these pairs. Shelby and Cory, Adam and Aphmau, Joel and Lizzie, Max and Ross, Red and Barney, Jin you will join Adam's group." Ms. Sieraa said reading names off of the lists. The kids got into there pairs.

"This is a test to see how you will do in different situations. You will have helmets placed on your heads that will conjoin your dreams and we will put you in different situations. Remember these are only simulations." Eric explained. They opened a door and the kids walked in. There were 5 different sections all closed off by a wall. Each one had two chairs and a confusing looking machine. One of the cubicles had another chair. The kids were led in their groups to a cubicle and were sat in a chair.

"Now once the helmet is on you might feel a slight headache. You will be automatically put to sleep." Ms. Sieraa explained. She went around to everyone and put their helmets on. Once they were all asleep Ms. Sieraa walked up to Eric.

"You set them as the right simulation right?" She asked. Eric nodded. Ms. Sieraa smiled.

Shelby woke up first.

"Ah my head," She said rubbing her forehead.

"Cory!" She yelled. No reply. She yelled again. Still no reply. She stood up and looked around in the dark abyss. Nothing was in sight. Just black.

"Cory!" She tried again. She heard a long beep and turned around. There in front of her was a small light. She heard the beep again but it sounded a bit different. Unsure she started to walk towards the light. Her tail swayed as she heard the beep again. It sounded more like someone yelling.

"Cory?!" She yelled. The light got bigger each step she took. Soon the light had engulfed her.

"Hello?" She called. Instead of the dark abyss she was in, she was now standing on a mountain.

"Cory?" She asked quietly this time. Looking around she saw a gaping hole.

"Shelby!" She heard. She squinted and saw Cory walking at the edge of the hole.

"Cory!" She yelled relieved.

"Oh god! Where were you?" He asked as Shelby made her way down to the hole and next to Cory. Really close to the edge.

"Where were you?" She asked.

"I was look---" He was cut off by the mountain shaking.

"Cory!" Shelby yelled as the hole opened up further. They fell in and Shelby landed on her feet while Cory landed on his back.

"Ow!" Cory said sitting up.

"Are you ok?" Shelby asked.

"I think. The flowers broke my fall." He said looking around at the yellow flowers that surrounded them. Cory stood up and looked down the long corridor in front of them.

"Should we continue?" Cory asked. Shelby nodded. They started walking down the corridor and were met with a large purple door. Inside was a room that looked similar to the room they had fallen into. They took a few steps and something started to grow from out of the ground. A larger flower had grown and it had a face. It saw the two and smiled.

"Howdy! I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower." It spoke.

"You're new to the Underground aren't ya?" It asked. Shelby and Cory nodded.

"Well someone's gotta show you how things work around here, huh?" Flowey said.

"Uh, I think we'll be fine." Cory said.

"Well, why not?" Flowey asked his smile dropping.

"I'm not too sure if we should trust a talking flower." Cory explained.

"Well just because I'm a flower doesn't mean you can't trust me." Flowey reasoned.

"He's right." Shelby whispered.

"Yeah, listen to your friend." Flowey said.

"Uh, fine." Cory said. Flowey's smile grew. A white ball formed in the air.

"This is a friendliness pellet. It helps your soul grow stronger." Flowey spoke.

"Go ahead and collect it." Flowey continued. Shelby took a step forwards and reached her hand out to grab it. She poked it and pulled back immediately. Flowey's smile turned demented and he laughed maniacally.

"You idiot! In this world it's Kill or be Killed!" He shouted. The white pellets surrounded Shelby and Cory.

"DIE!!!" Flowey shouted laughing as the circle of pellets started closing in on them.

"What do we do?!" Shelby asked frightened.

"It's just a simulation right? So, I say we kill the flower." Cory said.

"Kill?!" Shelby asked in disbelief. Cory nodded. Suddenly something fell from the sky. It landed in front of Cory and he picked it up. In his hands was a knife.

"Cory?" Shelby asked looking at the blade. The pellets were about to touch them when Cory knocked them out of the way with his knife. He charged at Flowey and a vine grew wrapping around his leg. He fell over and the vine lifted him off the ground.

"CORY!" Shelby called.

"Not so fast, bud." Flowey said. Cory quickly cut the vine off his ankle, making Flowey screech. Cory again charged at the flower and cut it out of the ground. Again Flowey's screech filled the air. Cory dropped the flower and it was consumed into the earth.

"Why?" Shelby asked tears starting to fall from her eyes.

"Shelby, chill! It's a simulation!" Cory said rushing over to calm her down.

"O-oh. Right." She said rubbing her eyes.
