Today marked the one year anniversary that you had worked at Hi5. You started out as an assistant just running around doing whatever anyone needed you to do but you had ended up getting promoted to talent for Rekt when it was first announced. You loved your job, breaking things for a living I mean who wouldn't right.
You walked into the office with a huge smile on your face. You walked into your office and started to watch the edit Patrick made so it could be approved so it could be uploaded. As soon as you finished you heard a knock on your office door. It was Woods.
Woods was your best friend at the office. As soon as you walked in on your first day he greeted you with a hug and a smile. Ever since then you were two peas in a pod. It only took a month for you to realize that you actually liked Woods. He was so nice and kind and funny. Who wouldn't like him.
"Hey Y/N. You know what day it is?" He asked
"No woods what day is it?" You said sarcastically while looking confused.
You both started laughing. You always thought that Woods's laugh was adorable.
"Anyways," he continued, "I'm taking you out to lunch to celebrate and I'm paying. No ifs, ands, or but's about it little missy. Now come on" Woods said as he took me hand and dragged me to his car.
The whole time spent with Woods was amazing. The two of us always had so much fun together. We sat at the restaurant just talking for over an hour. Woods looked at his watch and saw what time it was.
"We should probably get back to the office. Wouldn't want to get fired today." He said jokingly.
When you got back to the office you noticed all the lights were off, which was unusual as it was not even 3 yet. When you walked in all the lights came on and everyone came out and yelled "SURPRISE!"
You were so happy, you loved your coworkers and was looking forward to yet more years of working at Hi5. As the party passed you hugged and thanked everyone. You finally went to go talk to Matt as you assumed he was the one who planned everything.
"Thanks Matt for planning this. Im really grateful for getting to work here." You said as you hugged him.
"As much as I would like to say this was all me, it wasn't. Go thank Woods this was all his idea." He said as he pointed towards Woods, who was taking to Tanner and Paul with a huge smile on his face.
You went up to woods and you gave him the biggest hug and kissed him on the cheek.
"What was that for?" He asked. You could tell he was blushing as his cheeks were super red.
"Thank you for all this." You said gesturing to the party around them.
"No thank you Y/N. Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for always making me laugh. Thank you for always being there for me. And thank you for making me realize how lonely I was until you came into my life and changed that. You truly are the best thing that has happened to me." Woods said.
As he was talking tears were forming in your eyes. You never realized he felt this way towards you. Of course you've dreamed about something like this happening but you were ecstatic it was happening for real.
"I love you Y/N. Would you make me the happiest man in the world and go out with me?"
"Of course I will Woods." You said jumping into his arms as you hugged for what seemed like forever.
This job has been the best thing that ever happened to you, you met your best friends and the person you hoped you would spend the rest of your life with, and it had only been one year. You could only image what the next year would hold.
