MattxReader (Partners Pt.2)

     You and Matt had become partners only about 2 weeks ago and still were just going over logistics of the revamp of the channel. The two of you spent almost every waking moment together as there was a lot to get done before you guys launched the channel. The only problem spending so much time with Matt was your feelings for him only grew more and more and it was almost becoming impossible to keep them to yourself.

    "Hey Y/N are you ok?" asked Tanner. "It seemed like you zoned out there for a minute, care to share?" He asked. You and Tanner had always been close ever since you started at Hi5 Studios so you thought you could tell him how you felt because you desperately needed to tell someone. "It's Matt, the more time I spend with him the more I like him. But I can't tell him, it'll ruin our partnership before it really even begins. It's just getting harder and harder to keep it to myself. What do you think I should do Tanner." " I think you should tell Matt. Honestly the longer you keep it in the more scared you'll be to tell him eventually. If he really wants to work with you I doubt he would let something like this ruin it, Matt isn't like that." Tanner explained. He made a really good point.

   Little did you and Tanner know that Matt had heard the whole conversation. He didn't mean to eavesdrop but once he heard what they were talking about he had to listen. Matt had liked Y/N ever since she started working at Hi5. She just was so kind and beautiful and had an amazing work ethic that Matt just loved. Matt heard Y/N and Tanner start to head towards the closed office door so he ran down the stairs so they wouldn't notice him.

  "Thanks, Tanner. I think I know what I'm going to do now." Y/N said as she hugged Tanner and went to go find Matt.  As Y/N started down the stairs Matt saw her and decided to walk up to her. "Y/N, just the woman I was looking for, meet me in my office." Matt said as Y/N chuckled as that was exactly what he had said the day he asked to be partners.

   Y/N and Matt got into his office and both sat down next to each other before Matt started talking. "So Y/N I want to tell you something. First of all, I heard you and Tanner talking in your office earlier. Why did you never tell me how you felt." Matt asked as he grabbed Y/N's hand.

  "Matt I was scared. First, you were my boss and now we're partners, I just didn't want to screw anything up. This is my dream job but I also realized that you were my dream man. You're honestly everything I want and more and I didn't want to lose you." Y/N spoke honestly. She felt a little embarrassed but there was no turning back now.

  Y/n looked down at their hands still intertwined and at that moment she smiled and looked at Matt as she realized that he felt the same. "Y/N, I've loved you ever since you walked into this office and you are the only person I would want to be partners with, at the office and in life," Matt said.

This was honestly everything Matt and Y/N wanted for the longest time. For the next hour they both just stayed on Matt's couch still holding hands and just talking. They both knew that this partnership was the best thing that could ever happen to either of them.
