TannerxReader (Roommates)

When Y/N first moved to LA to work for Hi5 Studios it was a disaster. She never planned on getting the job so she didn't have a place to sleep or anything really. Tanner being the wonderful person he is offered for Y/N to stay with him and a few weeks later they were officially roommates.

A few weeks after she had moved to LA she started dating a guy named Adam. Tanner hated him, he knew something about him was off but never told Y/N about it as he thought it was just his crazy brain. Until one night after work, Y/N came home in tears. Y/N thought no one was at home so as soon as she got into the door she broke down crying and slid down the back of the door onto the ground.

Tanner had been sitting on the couch editing when she came in. He thought nothing of it at first but then he heard sobs and got up and ran to Y/N. What he saw was something he had never wished to see. Y/N's makeup was a wreck and she looked all disheveled. "Oh my god, Y/N! Are you alright, are you hurt?" Tanner said frantically as he started to check Y/N for any injuries. "Tanner....i'm fine.....I promise." Y/N said before she broke into a sob again. Tanner knew she wasn't fine so he just sat on the ground next to her and let her sob into his chest. He rubbed her back and tried to calm her down.

Around an hour later Y/N had finally calmed down enough to at least tell Tanner what had happened without breaking down again. "He cheated on me Tanner, Adam cheated on me." Y/N explained. As soon as she said that Tanner felt so much anger build up inside him. No one deserved to be treated like that especially Y/N. Tanner thought she was the sweetest girl and any guy would be lucky to have her.

"Look at me Y/N," Tanner said as Y/N looked at him. "He doesn't deserve you. You are so kind and beautiful and if he doesn't see that then you need to find someone who does and will treat you as you deserve." At that moment Tanner realized that he loved Y/N more than a roommate like he kept telling himself but as someone who he could see spending the rest of his life with.

At that moment Y/N was broken but Tanner promised himself that he would do anything to help her back up, even if that meant they wouldn't be together in the end because she deserved the world. So for the rest of the night, Y/N and Tanner sat on the couch cuddled up next to each other watching Netflix with a box of tissues and some ice cream.
