JoeyxReader (Sick Day)

Y/N woke up one morning to a high fever. She felt so bad but knew she wasn't going to be able to go into work like that today. She texted Matt.

Y/N: Hey Matt, I woke up today with a really bad fever and cough. Won't be coming in today, wouldn't want to get anyone else sick.

Matt: Ok, keep me updated with your weak immune system. just kidding, but really hope you feel better soon.

Y/N: Will do :)

After Y/N texted Matt she went back to sleep she woke up about a couple hours later to a text message, it was Joey.

Joey❤️: Hey Y/N, Matt told me you're sick. You need anything?

Y/N: Well now that you ask. I kind of ran out of tissues. Any chance you could bring some?

Joey❤️: Only because it's you. Be there soon my love 😘.

Y/N and Joey has been best friends since high school and always had terms of endearment for each other. They both secretly loved each other and Matt always joked with them about it. They never told each other though, they have been friends for so long neither of them wanted it to change anything.

About 30 minutes later Y/N heard a knock then the door opened. Of course, Joey had a key to her place, she even had a key to his. "Omg Y/N you look terrible." "Thanks, Joey, did you get the tissues?" Y/N was super tired and all she wanted was to just sleep. "Yeah here you go," He said as he threw the box lightly towards Y/N.

Joey left her room and went towards the kitchen. Y/N followed him. He started to make soup on the stove. "Joey you don't have to do that, you should get back to the office, don't you have shoots today." "Matt's taking my place today so I could come here and take care of you, now eat your soup and stop complaining," Joey said as he placed the soup in front of Y/N.

"So what now?" Y/N asked after she had finished eating. Instead of answering her Joey picked her up bridal style and took her to her room and laid her down on her bed. He walked over to the TV and put on a movie. "Now, I'm going to lay here with you and we're going to watch movies and just be lazy," Joey said as he got into Y/N's bed next to her.

It only took 30 minutes before Y/N was asleep in Joey's arms, she was snuggled into his chest. Joey couldn't help but smile at the sight before him. I could get used to this he thought before he fell asleep as well.
