Part 5

Chapter 1

-          Do you have the spicy one?

-          No sir, we ran out.

-          You got change?

-          Of course.

A man drops his keys.

-          Oh my god, did he really say that?

-          Yes! Can you believe it? I knew he wasn't going to give up on all his effort, let's be honest, he's nothing without me.

A woman loses her hat cause of the wind.

-          W-Wanna hit the bar young – hiccup - ladies?

-          Get lost.

The man's picking up the key.

-          Ahhh, you pervert!

-          It was an accident! I swear!

Some kid is running after the hat, stumbling, probably on his own shoe laces.

-          I think she's DTF, don't you think?

-          Ooh, nice.

A rude customer drops food on the floor.

-          I'm sorry sir, you're gonna have to wait a while.

-          I don't have time!!

Some girl is crying.

-          Let's go home, baby, you're drunk.

-          N-Nooo, I'm not, I promise.

A boy sweeps the broken dish.

Gaara sighs, trying to ignore all the information his head was getting at once.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Everyone's footsteps. All in their own rhythm.

...

-          Oh man, my new shoes!

Someone stepped in gum. How unfortunate.

At this point Gaara didn't know if he was gifted or the opposite. There was no silence in his world.

As he was walking in peace, he suddenly stood still, closing his eyes so his focus won't be divided to the vision.

Tap. Tap...Tap...  silence. It wasn't regular footsteps. Not drunk either. But what really made Gaara slightly nervous was that it stopped right after Gaara stopped walking.

"How odd" Gaara thought. He opened his eyes and looked around. There was a puddle of water visible next to a brisk building that was good 15 steps away from him. But that wasn't the thing that caught Gaara's attention, it was the mirrored shape on the puddle. He had hawk eyes to his luck that he could make out the shape was indeed, a human's. The man was standing behind the brisk wall, with his back stuck to it. Gaara's body moved into caution mode almost immediately as his brain started processing. Is that man following him? If so, who is that man? Just a thief that wants nothing but his wallet? Or worse?

Does he go home? And let the stalker, if that man is a stalker, know where he lives? He's not sure if he wants that.

Gaara started walking again with a brilliant idea in his mind. If that man is someone who is willing to do illegal stuff which he's hoping not, he wouldn't follow him to the police station, would he?
