Epilogue  

Vanessas death changed everybody. Some for better, some for worse. Although one thing is for sure. She was never forgotten. She was loved and understood. Everybody had to live with the fact that she was gone and never coming back. All they could do was stay strong. Here is what happened to the ones she left behind.  

Hannah
Hannah was deeply affected by Nessis death. But she tried to do everything at its best so she could make Nessi happy. She had to get psychological treatment because of her death and went to support group concerning her bulimia issues. She and Angie went from haters to best friends. Hannah forgave Matt for taking her virginity. Matt and Hannahs child was given up for adoption. She found a great family for the baby. When she gave birth to her daughter she struggled to give her away. But she eventually did under the condition that her new family would name her Vanessa. It was her way of knowing that Nessi would live on forever.

Jace
Jaces father had a wake-up call when Nessi died. He noticed how he didn't really know anything about his daughter. He thought he could only make it up to her if he took care of his other four children. He gave them all the money he had and let them live in his giant villa. Jace went to college after all. His mother and father were on friendly terms again. Jace had a rough time after Nessi died but had help from Angie. They stayed together until graduation but then their ways parted. Jace majored in Math, French and Social Studies. Cheyenne as the rumor goes really did become a playboy and now does the thing she loves. Fuck peoples brains out!  

Matt
Matt saw in what a pitiful state Hannah was and supported her through the hard times. He went to all the family meetings and was at the birth of their child. At that point he was so scarred by seeing a child pop out of her that he knew he could never be with a girl again. So yes, he turned gay. He also had a few awkward moments with Jace and suddenly feeling attracted to him. Then he knew how Nessi must have felt. He married his husband and they adopted a girl from China named Yi Lung. Hannah often visited them but had a hard time because she was reminded of her baby living with another family. But she is conforted with the fact that Vanessa has a better life there than with her, just like Yi Lung at Matts.  

Angie
Angies father learned that his wife would never come back and had to adjust rather abruptly. Jonathan, her autistic brother, also did very well. Angie lost her virginity to Jace after being in a relationship for 3 months. She had to sacrifice her popularity and fame but Jace meant more to her. They got an A+ on their science project. Probably all the making out sent endorphins to their brains and made more brain cells work. After Angie and Jaces paths parted they both dated a lot of people but never felt like they had a connection with them like they did with each other. So after Angie majored in Science, English literature and Medicine she met Jace again after four years. And lets say it was love at first (or rather second) sight. It was hard for them in the beginning but they learned to accept the changes. They had two beautiful children named Lucy and Benjamin. They loved eachother more than anything else and were happy.
