923. At age 15, growing up in one of the poorest areas in New Jersey, Way had a gun pointed to his head with his head down on the floor „execution-style".

926. After writing Umbrella Academy, Way was asked to write an issue of Spider-Man. Way's story takes place in a futuristic city and Spider-Man is actually a government experiment known as SP. The experiment is lead by Uncle Ben and Aunt May who combined a machine, someone inside the machine and a radioactive spider that acts as a symbiote between the components. This experiment is lead by Uncle Ben and Aunt May, who realised the only person they can successfully pair with the machine and the spider is their adopted child Peni. (This should be a trash film, seriously, someone please make this!)

927. Since writing Umbrella Academy, the characters Way connected the most with were all female. Way says about himself that he always identified more with the women in his life (such as his grandmother when he was a child) and never really connected with boys his age.

928. He's deathly afraid of needles. (Understandably, though.)

929. Way recorded the song You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison (which is praised for Gerard Way's vocal performance by WhatCulture) in his underwear.

930. After MCR broke up and the band members pursued their own solo careers, Way said,"I love all of the guys so much and love what they do musically. I think a collaboration between any of the MCR members is totally possible just not sure when. It would have to materialise organically and right now everyone is busy with their solo work." Which means that MCR might not be over!
