ALONA'S POV

The day after the graduation, she went to where I live that made me ,well, surprised.

"Now I get her. I get my daughter of why was she so drawn to you. You have that convincing power to make anyone listen to you and think of the things you left in their minds. Maybe like what you did to your classmates before in order for you to control them. What you did for your section was great and I admit I admired you for that. And your convincing power effects on me. I have watched and saw everything inside that little thing you gave me. And you were right, she loves me even though I wasn't be able to show her that",she stated as she was sitting on the couch in front of me.

"And my point in going here? I still need you to stay way from my daughter",she continued that made me feel cold.

I just thought, we're okay.

"Why?",I asked and she sighed.

"If there is anything I should tell you. It's the deal both of us had when I almost throw her out of our family. She promised not to break any rules again, that she will change for the better, she will study hard, and she will do as what I say. And she did. But because I still blame her for what happened to his dad, the fact that she did everything she could was never acknowledged, kaya kahit alam kong nasasaktan na sya sa trato ko at nahihirapan sa sitwasyon nila ni Jez wala akong pakialam. "Yes, you could say that",I blurted out that I covered my mouth as I saw her glanced my way. "Oops, my bad"

She sighed and nodded. "Yes, you may agreed with that. And the reason why I want you to stay away from my daughter? I want her to prove to me that what change she was talking about was not just because you were with her but because it's what she wants. In exchange for that I will not interfere with her study, work, or whatever she will do to her life. But I can't assure you that I will forget matching her with Jez. You know maybe she could have a change of heart", she said and gave me a smirk. Parang nanghahamon.

"Then what will I get in return if I choose to stay away from your daughter? I suppose at least just for now",I said back and she stared at me.

"I will not stop her in loving and waiting for you as you create your own name too, and make sure that you will be someone who deserves my daughter when the time comes that I was satisfied of my daughter's success. And I suppose too that you can wait for minimum of five years I guess?",nanghahamong sabi nya at walang pag-aalinlangang tumango ako.

"But, how can I be so sure na tutupad kayo sa napag-usapan natin?",naninigurong tanong ko dahil higit sa lahat ng mahirap na desisyong gagawin ko ay ang mapahiwalay sa anak nya.

She laughed a little kaya nagtaka ako.

"You're really a wise girl. Kanina nga nagulat pa ko kung sinong magandang babae ang kaharap ko as you let me enter. Kaya nga ba isang beses lang kitang sinabihang panget the first time I talked to you eh. It seems something is off kaya hindi ko na lang pinagtuunan ng pansin ang itsura mo. Well, to answer your question, I'll show you this",she said and I was surprised as she show me the emblem of one of the clans na kapantay ng clan ko sa pagiging kilala.

"Hyena Clan",I reacted and she just gave me a knowing smile so I showed her mine too.

"As expected from you, you will surprise me more than anyone could do dahil kakaiba ka nga pala. I never imagined that I just have Ms. Lotus as my daughter in law years from now",she said kiddingly kaya naman nahiya ako ng konti at napangiti na lang din ako.
