Rusl finished up his duties at the farm and returned home for a quick drink. He took a piece of bread in case he got hungry.
"Alright, honey, I'm going to lock up the gate," Rusl said.
"Be careful," Uli smiled.
"Can I come with you, papa?" His older son, Colin, asked.
"I think your mom could use some help with the-"
"I'll be fine, dear, go ahead," Uli said, feeding her newborn child.
Rusl sighed. "Alright, come Colin." Rusl opened the front door and grabbed his horse. He mounted up Colin then got on himself.
The way to the gates was long, yet peaceful. He remembered the days when he used to take Time and Link to the spring and show them how to lock the gates, since one day, one of them would have the responsibility. He remembered their silly fights over who would get the job, and him having to separate them by force when the fighting went too far. Ah, good times, good times.
They reached the gates and Rusl took out the lock from the bag tied to his horse. He carefully showed Colin how to lock the gates since he would have to take the responsibility soon enough. Once he finished, he mounted Colin then himself and rode away.
"Mr Rusl!" Rusl turned his head around, while Colin peaked behind him. They saw a group of people running towards the gates. Rusl squinted his eyes, trying to make the group clear. It was getting harder to see the darker it got.
"Stay here, son," Rusl said and dismounted the horse. Colin nodded slowly. Rusl slowly walked to the gates, raising his hand close to the sword strapped to his back. He held on to the gates tightly.
"Who's there?" Rusl said. Another hand appeared and held on to the gate. Rusl raised his sword and pointed it to the hand.
"Holy crap, I can't believe we made it," A face with a wide smile faced him. Rusl jumped back.
"Shulk?! Is that you?!" Rusl put his sword away.
"Yes, now we could use some help," Shulk answered. More faces came from the dark, and he was shocked to see they were all hurt.
"Your Majesty! And everyone else! Of course, let us help, but may I ask how this happened to you all?" Rusl asked, unlocking the gate to let them all in.
"It's... it's best if you don't know," Zelda said, stepping inside Ordon. "But, you must prepare for monsters, which I'm sure will come soon."
"I understand, um, here, the Inn is not that far away, we can help you there," Rusl said. "Please, follow me."
"Wait, what's that sound?" Time said, trying to pick up where it was coming from.
"HOLD ON A MINUTE!" An RV randomly showed up right behind them. "We're here to pick up a few people."
"You guys!" Shulk grinned. Peach and Lucina ran out and to their certain other.
"Robin!" Lucina wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly, tears falling from her eyes. "You're okay! I thought I would lose you!" Robin hugged her tightly as well, and kissed the top of her head.
"It's okay, I'm here, and I will never leave you," Robin said, hugging her tighter. Lucina looked up at him, her navy blue eyes meeting his brown ones, and planted a kiss on his lips.
