Chapter 21

A/N: WHOAH hi! I'm back with this story! Sorry, I didn't mean for the break to last this long. But trust me, I've been thinking on how to continue this story, I haven't forgotten about it, promise. I hope you enjoy this chapter and see you in the next!

"Link, let go."

"No, I'll never let you go, Zel."

"It's not the time!"

"IT'S NEVER THE TIME!"

"Link, I swear to god, if you don't let go of me right now."

"Just tell me you love me!"

"Ahem, how about we talk about this tomorrow?" Master Hand asked. "You've had many eventful days, might as well take a break, no?"

Zelda squinted her eyes and glared at Link. "Alright, I'll meet you here tomorrow with Robin and the others." Master Hand nodded and walked away. Link then picked her up bridal style and ran out the doors and to her house. Zelda furrowed her eyebrows and slapped him, hard. Link stopped running and looked at Zelda. She was giving him a death glare. Link gently put her down and put his hand on his cheek. It was stinging, and he was sure there was already a mark there.

"How dare you?!" Zelda yelled at him, making him flinch back.

"W-what?"

"How could you?! How could you do this to Time?! He sacrificed himself for you! Even though he had no idea what was going on, he still sacrificed himself for you! Only you. And you don't even thank him, you sick bastard," Zelda sneered. 

"I-I," Link stuttered. The love of his life just called him a bastard. And for good reason. He was an asshole, to his own brother nonetheless. He looked down ashamed. How could  he? To his own brother. He should thank him. More importantly, he should apologize. Just for being a major asshole all the time. He sat on the grassy ground beneath him, he couldn't even stand he was so ashamed. He heard footsteps coming near him, then he felt fingers around his chin. It was raised by Zelda, forcing him to look at her. He couldn't though, so he looked away. Then she put her hands on his cheeks, so he could only look at her.

She looked at him with saddened eyes, almost apologetic. He couldn't help but lean in a little, and he noticed she did as well. He put his hand on her cheek, and leaned in a little more. Their faces were centimeters apart, so, they did what they had to do.

They kissed.

A soft kiss. Link wrapped his arms around her waist, and Zelda put hers around his neck, slightly  deepening the kiss. When they parted, they put their foreheads together. Zelda looked up at Link, and looked at her.

"Link, please, apologize to Time! Give him a hug at least, I'll be here," Zelda gave him a small smile.

"I will, and I'm sorry," Link said. 

"No, I am, I shouldn't have slapped you."

"Nah, I deserved it. I'm an asshole."

"You are not! Sorry for calling you bastard as well."

"I am though."

"No, you're not," Zelda said, and gave him a peck on the lips. "Trust me, you have no idea how happy I am that you entered my life."

"And you don't know how happy I am that you entered my life," Link smiled and kissed her again.

Zelda parted first and patted his back. "Go to Time, Link, he's back in the infirmary." Link nodded, kissed her forehead and ran off. Zelda smiled and stood up. She walked over to Link's house and opened the door, which of course was unlocked. She saw Sapphire and Lucy sleeping on the floor. She smiled and walked over to them. She sat on her knees next to them and petted Sapphire's fur. Her ear perked up, and the husky opened it's blue eyes. 

"Hey, girl, I'm back," Zelda said. Sapphire jumped up and started licking Zelda's face repeatedly, happy to see her again. Zelda laughed and caressed her fur. Sapphire had a wide smile on her face, and her tail was wagging up and down quickly. Zelda smiled, but then frowned. She had to do it. It would be safer for her. And who knows? Maybe she could get her back.

"I'm sorry girl, but I'm gonna have to pass you on to another family."

Link ran without stopping to the university. He shoved past people, apologizing of course, until he reached the gates. They were about to close them, but he sneaked past them. Then he saw Time coming out the doors. He noticed Link and waved to him. Link smiled and ran up to him, and gave him a tight hug. Time was shocked at first, but hugged him back.

"Thanks, bro, for sacrificing yourself for me," Link said, tears rolling down his cheeks. Time looked at him and smiled.

"Hey, you're my little brother, of course I'm gonna protect you!" Time said.

"I'm sorry for being an asshole."

"It's okay, I don't blame you considering I'm an asshole too."

"So, let's be assholes together?"

"Yeah, let's be dumb assholes together."
