I just noticed that the previous chapter would be published alongside this one. But that doesn't matter now. Let's get to what this chapter is supposed to be about.
What you see before you is an Orc. I thought long and hard about what kind of idea I should dabble in while thinking of Evanescence's next chapter. Inspiration came in the form of LOTR, and after reading through them once more, I was enthralled by the fantasy genre once again. This was followed by a little bit of rewatching RWBY, and I came to an incoherent idea. I thought of making a fantasy story with an emphasis on showing different cultures and the idea of how everything is composed of black and white.
One of the first things I thought of was the Orc race. With Genghis Khan and Attila the Hun in mind, I tried forging a culture that was nomadic, brutal, and unsophisticated. It would be jammed in with the Elves who have just discovered steam power, and other cultures that seem to be Victorian or Renaissance in style.
But instead of thinking about those holes first, I went with how Orcs would look like. And that is how I eventually came to making the image above.
