New Evanescence VS Evanescence Prototype

Sometimes, you need to take a step back (Or an absolutely huge leap, in my case) to see where things have gone and where things could be going. And that's what I've eventually come across.

Evanescence Prototype was built around a strange idea. The idea of "always being who you are, no matter where you are or what you've become". It showed the power of legacy, the inherent and untainted cores of individuals, and how each step in the way is not 'becoming better', but 'becoming yourself'. It was a play on a deterministic line of thinking while trying to keep hints of conflicting philosophies. Afuro was even a Christian, to overstate the differences amongst characters.

Inspired by the other stories written as Inazuma Eleven fanfiction, I decided to take these spiritual, non-tangible and philosophical roots and accentuate the Science Fiction aspect. Which is why Suabara's family gained ties to the Medical industry (Which, by the way, really does need a Suabara of its own right now) and further backstory. It also made me think about how 'a person' is defined—and with a technological twist, the relationship between the Masked Striker and Suabara had been forged. It was the Scientific version of a possession, with the Masked Striker as both exorcist and demon.

The new series that I'm thinking of is another reboot to all the developments on Suabara so far. Perhaps I may not even make Suabara the star of the show in this series. Though I'm currently still looking for themes and ideas that I can use to tell a good story with Suabara, one important thing to note with the new series is how it will take elements from all parts of the franchise. That's the original anime, Go, Ares, the games, and the manga. It will be an attempt to mesh these, though of course the canon will be affected to a degree. This was what I had originally intended to do with a Pokémon series that I had planned (But did not go through with since I need to wait for Generation 8 first), so before I go with my Special Poké Series, I will try my hand at a series I am more comfortable with.

Suabara's origins will be revamped, along with other things. With each iteration of Suabara, I make sure not to include too many elements from the previous one. Even if the other one was never published nor completed.

Bottomline—and a completely off-topic one, actually—I may or may not complete both series and put them as AUs of one another. I feel like I can still work with Prototype. They'll have to compete for the name, since both of them do have the concept of "evanescence" in them, but that's a minor issue.
