Lydia walked into Stiles' room, catching his stare. She removed the towel from her head and let her strawberry blonde hair free."What?" She mumbled as she walked over to his bed.
"You gonna explain to me what happened out there?" He asked, holding himself up with his elbow as he laid on the bed.
"Stiles, I already told you. Nothing happened."
"Right, and you just expect me to believe that?" He questioned.
"I expect you to just let it go," she responded while glaring at him.
"Fine," he sighed then laid back.
Silence filled the air for a couple seconds before he shot back up.
"Alright, Lyd, you know I can't do that."
Lydia groaned loudly then shifted her body so that she was comfortable. She looked at Stiles and sighed, giving in.
"I've had this weird feeling ever since I stepped on the plane to come here. I didn't think much of it. I thought it was just stress from MIT," she said, looking up at him.
"But?" He ushered for her to continue.
"When I got into the rental car, it's like everything went blank. I ended up on a beach. A beach I've never seen or heard of, yet I was there. It's when I tripped that I realized, there was a body."
"A body? Like a human body?" Stiles asked, sitting himself up some more.
Lydia nodded before continuing, "it was a man. Stiles, we've seen crazy things. This guy, though, was tortured to death. He, he.." She trailed off as her eyes began to water; she began to stare into the distance.
"Hey," he caressed her hand to comfort her. "You don't have to go into details, but I'm here for you."
She gave him a weak smile before speaking again. "He was torn to pieces. I could barely make out the fact that he was a man. His left eye was missing, but his other one was wide open. It was like he was staring at my soul or something. When I opened my eyes, there was nothing there but the ocean."
"That definitely cries out 'Banshee' to me," he mumbled.
"You don't say?" Lydia gave him a glare which caused him to hold his hands up in surrender. A laugh was shared between the two of them before Stiles started to stare at her.
"What now?" She laughed.
"I missed you, that's all." He spoke, watching a light blush cover her cheeks.
She wrapped her arm around him and cuddled into his chest. He smiled as he held her, looking up at the ceiling. He couldn't help but think about the unsolved mystery. His dad would have to tell him about it eventually or at least, he hoped he would.

SCOTT'S P.O.V
"Hey Malia.. It's me, again. Listen, I know these voicemails are always cut short but I just wanted to you know that.." I sighed, not knowing what else to say.
"I miss you. I don't know what else to tell you except I don't want to fight anymore. This distance thing is killing us and if we can't talk to work stuff out, how is there going to be an us?"
A beeping sound rang through my ear, letting me know that I reached the time limit. I hung up and placed it on my night stand, eventually staring at the ceiling again.
Don't get me wrong, I love Malia, but ever since we split our ways for college.. It's like we've changed. I don't know if it's because of the distance or the fact that we're turning into new people. Whatever it is, women are complicated.
I groaned and shoved my face in a pillow. My phone dinged which made me jump to grab it.
Jade:
"Hey, is everything okay?" 1:43 AM
After everything that happened today, I completely forgot about how big of jerks we were to Jade and Alia. They barely stepped inside of our dorm before we sent them out again.
Me:
"Yeah, sorry about today. We acted like total dicks but I promise you, it was for a good reason. It had nothing to do with the two of you. Do over?" 1:45 AM
I don't know why it took me so long to press send but once I did, I started feeling nervous about her answer. They probably got freaked out to the point they wouldn't wanna see us again. We acted insane and girls don't like insane. Well, most of the time. Then again, it's not as bad as scaring them off with red glowing eyes and claws.
Jade:
"Sure. Although, you owe me for having to convince Alia again. She's still pissed that she didn't get any pizza." 1:49 AM
I chuckled while reading her last message. We ended up giving the pizza away to Theo, who ended up taking it back to his dorm. It wasn't the right time to be eating with Lydia shaken up. Theo, on the other hand, thought otherwise.
Me:
"I'll order a side of wings and buy lots of junk next time. We'll binge and study at the same time. Deal?" 1:50 AM
Jade:
"Deal." 1:50 AM
I laughed at how fast she responded and put my phone back on the night stand. I don't know what it is about her but something makes her different. There's a vibe when you walk up to her that you don't feel with other people. Stiles said he didn't feel anything but then again, he's human. It's probably over my head.
I just know that she's going to mean a lot more to us sooner than we think.
Babe:
"You're right. I'm sorry." 1:54 AM—
