ALIA'S P.O.V.

"Call the pack, we need to have a talk at the clinic." Chris says to Scott as we drove toward the veterinarian office.

"I'll do it, Scott's a little busy." I said referring to him in the back calming Jade down.

I grabbed Scotts phone and dialed; Liam, Malia, Mason, Corey, and Derek.

I hesitated to call Theo. Not because he had been unloyal or lying to the pack but I just really didn't want him to see me this weak again. I was acting like a baby. But I wanted to be strong and brave. Those familiar feelings coursed through my veins when I called him.

"Scott." He greeted through the phone.

"It's Alia, we're having an urgent meeting at Deaton's office. Be discreet and park down the road." I said with confidence laced in my voice.

"Sure, be there in five." He simply said.

"Mmkay."

*Beep*

I sighed and put Scott's phone down. Maybe it won't be so hard getting over him after all. Just maybe.

"Who was that?" Chris asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"Theo." I glanced back at Alia before looking over at him again, seeing the unusual look on his face.

"Do you like him?" He bluntly asked.

"Just because you're my uncle doesn't mean you can just all of sudden be in my life." I said crossing my arm staring straight ahead. He barely knew me, who was he to ask who I liked? Plus, now definitely wasn't the timing.

"Alia, I know it's hard but I want to help you. I won't hurt you." Chris spoke, eyeing me. Something in his eyes had changed. He seemed genuinely concerned.

I huffed and continued to stare at the road. "If you want to help me, get us to safety. Especially Jade."

I could feel he heavy stares coming from behind us and I just shook it off.

We finally made it to the clinic after a long, tense ride. The only noises that were made was Jade's sniffling and a few coughs from Chris.

Awkward.

Scott gentley shook Jade awake from his lap and helped her out of the truck. I softened at the sight of the way Scott took care of her, not wanting to leave her side..

I'd never been in love with anyone but I knew Jade. She doesn't look at just anyone with those eyes and as bad as it is, he returned the look. I didn't realize how bad I wanted something so real until I saw the connection they shared.

I ripped my eyes away from the two and looked around. The three of us walked into the clinic and looked around, coming into contact with Scott's pack. Everyone was already here. I locked the door behind us, knowing things could get messy.

As soon as everyone was in the examine room. Chris explained what had happened at the Stilinski's, catching everyone up.

"When Jade found out that her father was killed instead of dying from a heart disease, it seemed to trigger something inside of her. She realized that she failed to protect someone." Deaton sighed, gesturing towards Jade. "Protectors go into a deep depression if they lose someone and can be extremely clingy to the ones they love. The more people they fail to protect, the more their eye color changes."
