Scott approached the gate with the pack close behind, his nerves beginning to skyrocket. He hoped the plan would work considering the fact that Argent and Derek looked into it careful. It was up to him and his friends that stood behind him: Liam, Theo, Jade, Mason, Correy, and of course, Lydia. Keeping his distance, he examined the dark building that was surrounded by guards. Although it pained him that he was putting the others at risk, this was Stiles. Yes, he was going to save Alia even if it killed him, but Stiles was his best friend. He swallowed hard as the fear ran through his veins. Memories from the nogitsune were filling his mind, the memory of almost losing Stiles. This time was different, though.
It wasn't anything supernatural they were fighting against for the first time, in a long time. Scott knew to bring everyone he could because of what happened in their last experience, his pack was outnumbered. Maybe Allison would be alive today if there would've been more people fighting. Maybe she would've been alive if they would've waited for Argent, but then again, would Stiles? Probably not. Scott truly believed that everything happened for a reason, although he lost a piece of himself when she died. It was their previous experience that taught Scott you need to lose some to gain some.
But that wasn't happening today. He was going to save Alia and Stiles both, without losing anyone from the pack.
"We're going to save them," Lydia whispered to Scott, resting a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"I know," he commented. "We're stronger than we were then."
He noticed the low beams that pulled up from a distance, but far enough that it wouldn't cause attention. Stepping out of the truck was one of the greatest hunters in existence, the one who knew the man that they were going to have to face. Chris adjusted the shotgun in his hands and quietly walked up to the Alpha.
"Didn't think you were doing this without me again, did you?" He smirked, Scott returning it with a smile.
"Never again," he confirmed, turning his head back to the vehicle again when the passenger door opened.
A shocked expression covered the packs faces when they noticed the brunette step out, her eyes hanging with disappointment. It was mostly towards herself.
"Malia?" Lydia questioned, "I thought you decided to sit this one out."
"I changed my mind," Malia said, glancing between the pack before her eyes landed on Scott. "Listen, I know you have no reason to trust me after what I did. I went against the people that have had my backs since forever, but it wasn't for bad intentions." Her eyes met Jade's, the sincerity plastered across her face. "I'm sorry I was willing to leave Alia, it was wrong of me. We're a pack and we took the two of you in, just like everyone else did for me."
Jade crossed her arms over her chest and listened to the girl, debating on whether or not she could trust her. "Stiles was the one person who was willing to sacrifice everything for me, and I never had that. It's why I'm willing to do the same for him, although it's a different kind of love now. Now I realized that I love all of you in that way and I want to help for all you because we're family. I'm sorry."
Lydia smiled before stepping forward, bringing Malia into a soft embrace. "I knew you would come around," she whispered.
Scott watched the girls and nodded his head, "alright." Malia piped up at his words and released Lydia. "We need as many people as we can get but Malia, if I find a reason not to trust you..."
"You won't," she quickly interrupted and retracted the claws from her hand. "I promise you."
Jade didn't completely forgive the girl for her actions but if Malia was willing to fight by her side, forgiveness was something she could consider. Malia exchanged glances with her and she grinned, looking at the rest of them.
