"Alia, you're not trying hard enough." Theo spoke with a heavy sigh, giving the girl an irritated look.

The two had been training together day and night, trying to perfect Alia's skills in self-defense. The only problem was that she didn't even know where to start. Of course she knew how to punch and kick, but in the supernatural world, that won't save you. You have to be an expert; you have to be a hunter.

"Theo." Alia sighed loudly. She had came close to exploding multiple times but somehow managed to keep it together. "This obviously isn't working." She breathed out.

"What do you mean?" He crossed his arms over his chest. She couldn't help but notice the way his biceps naturally flexed in his short sleeved hoodie. "It's not that hard, Alia. Kick my damn ass."

"I'm fucking trying." She shoved him with a loud groan, seeing he hadn't moved a muscle. "I'm sorry I'm not, oh I don't know, a damn chimera?"

A smirk appeared on his lips and his head tilted at her with amusement. "Not everyone gets to be that awesome, sweetheart. I'm one of a kind."

"Are you?" She scoffed. "If you're so 'one of a kind', why can't you teach a little old human like me to kick someone's ass?"

"Because you're weak." He simply said, nonchalantly shrugging his shoulders. "People like you don't make it far in Beacon Hills."

Alia's eyes narrowed at the blue eyed man in front of her, the anger beginning to run through her veins. "Weak? I've been training for an entire week, Theo. The most exercise I would do is jog and now I'm shooting arrows, learning how to fight—"

"Right." He interrupted. "Don't forget how you're also whining like a 2 year old."

Another scoff left her mouth and she glared at him. "Are you serious right now? Give me a damn bre—"

"You know," His voice was full of sarcasm, sounding completely cold. "You're not the only one I feel sorry for, what about Jade? You can't protect her and she certainly doesn't know what the hell she's doing."

"What are you trying to say?" She asked, her blood now boiling at his insensitive remarks.

His eyes looked directly into Alia's, no emotion being exposed within them. "If Jade continues to fear what she is, you won't be the only one that's dead. Maybe that's what needs to happen to save the pack."

Without thinking twice, Alia's hand reached for her waist to retrieve the silver knife. She rushed towards him but his reflexes were faster than she anticipated and he immediately caught her wrist once she held up the knife to his face. He whipped her body around and her back was pressed up against his chest, causing her to lose balance. Theo's hand gripped around Alia's, pointing the knife at her neck.

"Still not good enough." He whispered in her ear making her nose scrunch up with anger.

"I'm not done." She responded, her elbow coming into contact with his stomach. A low groan came out of him and his grip loosened, allowing her to escape. His words replayed in her mind and before she could think about it, her foot had already crossed paths with his head. She used her weight to tackle him towards the ground, blood beginning to drip from his nose. He lifted a hand to reach for her but now the roles were reversed, she easily saw it coming. Alia pinned his hand by his face while straddling his body,  using her free hand to hold the knife up to his neck.

"What was that about being 'weak'?" She muttered. It looked like smoke was going to leave her ears any second.

Theo simply smirked and licked the blood off of his lip. "It's about damn time." He watched her face contort with confusion but he knew she understood what he just did.
