"And that's about it." Scott said, looking between the stunned girls in front of him.

Alia scoffed and broke the silence. "Do you think we're dumb? Is this some sort of prank you guys are playing? It's not funny, seriously. What's going on?"

"Can 'some prank' do this?" Theo smirked then closed his eyes. When they opened, they were glowing their yellow color, his fangs out.

"A moment please, Alia." Jade said, keeping her eyes on Theo, tugging on Alia's sleeve.

Alia glanced down at the necklace in Theo's hand. "You broke it." She whispered, hurt in her voice.

"YOU BROKE THE ONLY THING I HAD FROM HER, YOU PIECE OF-"

"OKAY ENOUGH," Lydia stepped in. "Jade and Alia, come into Scott's room and we'll talk this out... Without them. Sound good?"

Jade nodded grabbing teary-eyed Alia. As soon as they got into the room, Alia burst into tears.

Lydia rubbed her back looking at Jade for an explanation.

"That was her mother's necklace." Jade explained solemnly. "Her mom gave it to her before she passed. Alia was living with me and my mom ever since she lost her. It was the only thing she had of her mom since the government gave everything to Alia's father."

"Why didn't she get anything?" Lydia asked in a whisper.

"She was a minor and he was technically still married to her. He just left." Jade answered as she comforted her best friend.

They sat there in silence together for a while. Once Alia's sobbing slowly came to an end, Lydia fixed Alia's running makeup. After, they walked back out to meet the guys again.

When they walked back in the room the guys stood up. Scott walked towards Jade bringing her into a tight squeeze. Stiles stared at his best friend and this girl, that he barely knew, and definitely wasn't Scott's girlfriend. Speaking of his girlfriend, she probably wouldn't appreciate this. Despite his heart belonging to Lydia, Stiles always held a soft spot for Malia. She was considered as one of his best friends.

"Sorry," Scott whispered.

"I'll explain everything later." Lydia said, ignoring Scott and his sudden behavior. "But for now, we need to talk about what happened now that the whole werewolf thing is out."

Stiles looked to Alia. "Where did you get that necklace?"

Alia stiffened but recovered quickly not wanting to get emotional in front of everyone. She glanced at Jade when she felt her grab onto her own for support.

"It was my mother's," Alia answered shakily.

"And?..." Stiles mumbled with a slight attitude.

"Stiles," Lydia hissed. Scott gave him an irritated look.

"That's all I know. She wore it every where and gave it to me before she... Before she—"

"Its okay, Lia." Jade whispered.

"Before her mother passed away, Stiles, so if you could not be a dick about it that'd be great." Jade said sassily.

Stiles face softened as he held his hands up in a surrendering position. "I'm sorry, it's not just any coincidence."

"Well, the wolfsbane was what was triggering Theo and me to shift without any control." Scott looked around the room.

"Yellow wolfsbane is the most expensive and rare there is." Theo said, looking Alia up and down. "How did it end up in your necklace?"

"I didn't put wolfsbane in my locket. I didn't even know what wolfsbane was until this whole shit show started." Alia glared at the boys.

"If you're able to get your hands on something like that, you have to be an expert." Theo seemed to be trying to avoid Alia's eyes as she watched him.

She crossed her arms over her chest. "My mom didn't know about werewolves. She couldn't have."

"How do you know?" Lydia asked.

"She was too sick. The only thing she ever really focused on was what would happen to me if she were to," Alia looked down. "If something were to happen to her."

"It doesn't mean that she never knew they existed." Stiles spoke up, everyone looking at him. "She probably put it in there to keep you safe. She knew you would never take it off."

Scott examined the necklace and started to place the pieces together. He furrowed his eyebrows before interrupting his best friend, "Stiles."

Stiles walked over and gave him a questioning look, "AA."

"Do you have any idea what 'AA' stands for?" Scott asked Alia, looking at both her and Jade.

"No idea. I didn't get a chance to ask." Alia shrugged softly.

Scott stared at it for a couple of seconds,. "We might not know what it means but I have an idea of who might."

Stiles and Scott shared glances before speaking at the same time. "Deaton."
