CHAPTER THIRTY THREE: "Iñaki's Entry No. 16: Wooing the Ice Queen"

“Ano yan?” tanong sa akin ni Troy habang tinitignan yung post it na idinikit ko sa Mango Juice na binili ko sa canteen.

“Para kay Lyka.” I replied.

“Bakit mo naman bibigyan nyan si Lyka?” he asks.

“Gusto ko kasi syang ihatid mamaya.”

Napakamot ng ulo si Troy. “Hindi ko gets.” He said.

          Ilang araw ko ng gustong ihatid si Lyka pauwi pero lagi na lang ako nauunahan nung pesteng si Terrence. I was planning to give this juice pagkahatid ko sa kanya sa bahay nila.

“Basta ipagdasal mo na lang na hindi nya kasama ngayon si Terrence.” I said.

“Sa tingin mo ba mapapatawad ka ni Lyka kung araw araw mo syang ihahatid?”

“Hindi, pero I still have other plans.” (^___^)

“Ewan ko sayo dude kung ako sayo bilisan mo na dahil Terrence is way ahead of you. Sya nakapagtapat na pero ikaw bokya parin hanggang ngayon.”

“Oo na. Basta kapag kailangan ko ng tulong tulungan mo na lang ako.” I said and then I left Troy. Kailangan kong abangan si Lyka kung pauwi na sya and if I get Lukcy hindi nakabuntot si Terrence sa kanya today.

          I saw Lyka walking out the school gate. Binilisan ko yung lakad ko para maabutan ko sya. Mukhang wala si Terrence ngayon. Swerte ko. (^__^)

          I followed her until she enters the bakeshop where she used to have her part time job. I waited for her to come out.

After Two Hours…

I saw Lyka coming out of the store. She was surprised to see me. I immediately run towards her.

“Pauwi ka na ba?” I ask her.

“Ako ba kausap mo?”

“Oo naman.” I said with a laugh. Wala naman akong ibang kakausapin dito kundi sya lang. (^___^)

“Oo pauwi na ako pero how did you know that I am here?” nagtatakang tanong nya.

          If I told her that I followed her from school up to here she might freak out thinking that I am stalking her. Better to tell a lie instead.

“Napadaan ako then I saw you went inside the shop. I decided to wait for you.”

One Big Fat Lie! (-__-!)

“Do you need something? Sana hinintay mo na lang magbukas para sa school mo na lang sinabi.”

Ouch! Ang lamig naman nun. Brrrrrr….. (>_<)

“Gusto sana kitang ihatid pauwi.” Let’s see  your reaction to that. (^__^)

“Naku wag na baka mapalayo ka pa.” she said.

Akala mo susuko agad ako with that? No way!

“Okay lang.” and then I grabbed her bag para hindi na sya makaangal pa.

          Hindi na sya nakipagtalo pa. We started to walk along the street but she’s not saying any word. I took several glances at her. Ganito pala yung feeling na kasabay mong umuwi yung taong gusto mo? Napatingin ako sa kamay nya. I have to stop myself from grabbing her hand and holding it.

“Can I walk you home everyday?” Ooops! Was I too sudden?

          Natapilok si Lyka and I immediately grab her to stop her from falling to the ground. Hindi naman mabato dito sa daanan ha? Bakit sya natapilok?
