"Hi, baby." I hear as someone rubs my head. I open my eyes and see my mom. I look at the other side of my bed and see my dad. I sit up quickly and back away from them. "Riley." My dad said. "NO! GET AWAY FROM ME!" I yell. I can't believe they would show up here. Especially when Daniel is here. "CALM DOWN!" My mom yells. She's about to hit me. Zach is sitting on the couch next to my bed. He stands up like he's about to stop it. "ZACH! ZACH HELP!" I yell. He runs over to me and covers me with his body. "Don't touch her!" He said. My dad laughs. "You're half my size. I'm not scared of you." My dad said. I hold Zach tight. I'm so scared. Im shaking. "Don't hurt her! She's recovering!" Zach said. "Fine. We won't hit her." My mom said. "I think you should leave." Zach said. "No please. I promise we won't hit her. Right?" My mom said looking at my dad. "Yeah." He said. He doesn't look like he's telling the truth. All the boys aren't in the room. Daniel is asleep. Daniels family isn't in here either. "Okay." Zach said about to walk out. I grab his arm. He turns around and looks at me. "What's wrong?" He asked. "Please stay." I said. He sits on the bed. I will not let go of his arm. "It's okay." He said. "Please stay." I said. He looks at my parents. "Fine." He said. I lay my head in his lap and he rubs my head. I love him. "So, are you two dating?" My dad asked with an attitude. "No, sir. We're just friends." Zach said. Aww. Sir. That's so cute. "Who's that boy?" My mom asked pointing to Daniel. "He was in the accident too." I said. She looks at him a little longer. "He looks familiar." My mom said. I look at her and shake my head. She looks confused but doesn't say anything. "Are you feeling okay?" My mom asked. I nod. "I'll be better when you leave." I said. My dad stands up. "DONT TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!" He yells at me. I hold Zach tight. "Hey!" Zach said. My dad removers and sits back down. He rolls his eyes. "I'm sorry, Riley. Whatever I did to you...I'm sorry." My mom said. I look at Daniel. He's awake now. "No you're not." I said. "Yes I am." My mom said. "You're sorry for getting drunk every night and hiring me!" I said madly. My mom looks down at the floor. "And are you sorry for missing every single birthday because you were too busy getting arrested for fighting at bars?!" I said. My mom looks back up at me. "Stop this right now!" My dad said. I'm still laying in zachs lap and he's still rubbing my head. Daniel looks at me concerned. "Can you guys leave?" I asked. "No. We're taking you home in 2 days." My dad said. It's been a month already? "NO! WHY?!" I asked. "Because we're your parents and we care." My mom said. I laugh. "Are you fucking kidding me?" I said. I laugh some more. "STOP LAUGHING!" My dad yells. I stop. "You're not taking me home." I said. "Oh yes we are. You have no where to recover." My dad said. "I just bought an apartment." I said. "You need someone to take care of you though." My mom said. "No I don't. Now can you please leave." I said getting tired of their shit. "Stop this! I'm not leaving you again!" My mom said starting to cry. "Look what you did you little shit! You made her cry!" My dad said to me. He hugs my mom. I roll my eyes. "You've left me my whole life! What's different now?!" I asked madly. "I want to....we want to become better parents." My mom said looking at my dad. He continues to look at the floor. He doesn't want to say anything. "Sure you do." I said. "I do! I really really do!" My mom said sounding like she means it. Why would she want to now that I'm an adult and I don't need a parent anymore? "You wanna be a good parent?" I asked. She nods her head. "Okay. Then leave." I said. "WHY WONT YOU LET ME BE HERE FOR YOU?!" She asked. "BECAUSE YOULL LEAVE ME LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO!" I said. "I WONT LEAVE YOU!" She yelled. "YES YOU WILL! JUST GET OUT! PLEASE GET OUT!" I yell. Tears stream down my face and I start to cry. I don't want her to be here. I don't want them to be here. "Okay I think it's time for you to leave." Zach said. My mom and dad stand up and walk out. "We're coming back. And when we do, you better treat us better and feel great full that were here." My dad said. "GET OUT!" I yell. They close the door and leave. I cry into Zach's lap. He rubs my head. "It's okay." He said. "We're they your parents?" Daniel asked. I nod as I cry. "Oh, I'm sorry." He said. I'm very tired. "Why don't you get some rest." Zach said. I nod. I lift my head off of his lap and onto the pillow. "Thank you for being here for me." I said. He smiles. "Of coarse." He said. Zach is the last person I saw before I fell asleep. I hope he's here when I wake up.
