I wake up and see Daniel asleep on the chair next to my bed. I look around to see if the boys are in here. They're not. They're probably in corbyns room. Its very dark outside and in here so maybe I can sneak out and see corbyn without Daniel noticing. He's a heavy sleeper. I pull the covers off of me and swing my legs over the side of the bed. I stand up and get a little dizzy but not as dizzy as earlier today. I walk, one foot in front of the other, to the door. I slowly open it so it doesn't make a noise. I look at Daniel, he's still asleep. I walk out and look around. There's not doctors or nurses around. It's kinda like a ghost town. I start to walk down the hallway and look in all the rooms. I know his room is in the same hallway as mine because the doctor mentioned it a few times.
I walk down the hallway and look in every room. Finally, I look in the last room down the hallway and see corbyn sleeping on the bed. He has a tube in his mouth going down his throat. I hear his machine beeping. I walk in, quietly, and see all the boys sleeping on the chairs in there. I walk to the side of corbyns bed. I can't believe he's in a coma. I gently stroke the side of his face. He's sleeping so soundly. It's like he's never gonna wake up. The sound of him breathing through the tube is so loud. He doesn't have any product in his hair so it's down and laying in his forehead. I push it back and kiss him on the forehead. His hair is so soft. I stroke the side of his face one last time. "I love you." I said as a tear falls down my face. I look at him for a little while longer and then turn around to leave. I look at Jonah, Zach, and jack. They're sleeping soundly too. "I love you guys." I said knowing they wouldn't answer. I wipe the tear streaming down my face and walk out of the room. I walk slowly back to mine. Daniel is still asleep. I walk over to him and stroke the side of his face. He opens his eyes. "What are you doing out if bed?" He asked as he sat up. "Can you sleep with me? I'm scared." I said. It's so dark and scary here in the hospital and I have the creeps. He smiles. "Sure." He said. We both lay in my hospital bed. He wraps his arms around me and I close my eyes. I don't know why I'm so tired. And the doctor said I could leave today but wanted me to stay an extra day to get some sleep. As Daniel tickles my arm, I fall asleep.
