The news came towards the end of the day as Victoria was called into her agent's office that evening. Emma pulled out a document from her drawer and slid it over to the 19-year-old. Victoria and maybe everyone in the motorsport world had already seen it coming. She'd prepared herself for this moment a couple of races prior to the South African GP. But receiving the news officially caused Victoria's heart to sink.
"I don't need to do any explanation regarding this, do I?" Emma questioned. Victoria shook her head, bringing that piece of document closer to herself.
"I did everything I could to keep you in the team as long as possible. But this is the furthest I can go. I'm already trying my best to get you a seat asap, in or out of F1."
"Thanks, Em." Victoria replied.

Both Adam and Sara noticed their daughter's change in attitude after being demoted to the team's third driver. She was very hyper, always out training and doing sports; football, tennis, golf. But now she just barricaded herself in her room, only going out for meals and showers.

"Can't we do something about this? It's been like what, three days since Vicki ever does something," Adam asked.
"Emma is doing all she can. It's all in the matter of time. There's nothing we can do about it." Sara replied. "She needs her space to come to terms with it."
It hurt for the 5-time world champion to see his daughter so down before even finishing her debut season in F1. Adam was also retrenched from his F1 seat back in 2018 with the Silver Arrows after his adventurous racing journey off the grid, he knew what it was like.
Since Victoria's demotion, she watched almost every Grand Prix from the garage, watching as more drivers were being replaced in F1, bringing the VulcanTech sponsorship suspiciously. Adam no longer bothered to follow the English Formula 1 team around the world, knowing that her daughter is no longer competing in it.
