Adam and Sara watched the news from their London residence, unsurprised. Little did the world know about the six man team that had been behind it. After obtaining the secure research files that Vulcantech had hidden away, they were released on the web through multiple channels by Elliot, who posed as an anonymous hacker.
Several investigations were launched, both against Vulcantech and against Formula One Management for allowing it to happen.
The negative publicity, dropping viewership, and backlash from the fans led the 'Pinnacle of Motorsport' to fold, with several top-level personnel resigning from their positions. Within a matter of weeks, it all came crashing down, and F1 would be no more.
Vulcantech CEO James was never found by the authorities, he had evaded arrest and fled the country. The Interpol had issued a notice for police forces around the world to be on lookout for him, but he remained in hiding.

"I'm not surprised." She mused. "Actually, I'm not even angry. They got what they deserved now."
"I wonder what's going to happen to Formula One Management, the Vulcantech drivers, teams, everything." Rafa said.
"I assume they'll be prosecuted. What else?" She said. "Although it sucks we'll never be able to race in F1 again."
"Vicki, who the fuck needs F1?" He questioned. "Look at the motorsports scene these days? Formula E is now racing in Australia and New Zealand alongside V8S, Indy is double-heading with FE, DTM now does 19 races a year instead of 9 and races regularly outside of Germany. Every other series is improving, they're all co-operating with each other. The fans are happier, the drivers are happier, this wouldn't have happened if Vulcan hadn't fucked up F1."
