Tonight's the night. I'm actually pretty excited for Prom, now that I have someone to go with.
I'm just about ready, my beautiful light pink, jewel-drizzled dress slid up my body, my hair in an elegant updo (which I couldn't have done without my mother), and a pair of simple pink four-inch high heels to top it off.
"You look ravishing," Mother compliments, admiring me from my bed as I look at myself in the body length mirror hung on my door.
"Thanks, Mom."
The doorbell then rings, indicating that it's time for my night to finally begin. Mother gets up and follows me to the front door, revealing Ryan in one of the most handsome images I've ever seen in him; a perfectly ironed tuxedo and slacks with a small yet affective white rose pinned to the pocket, as well as his brown hair faultlessly gelled up in its tight manner.
"Good evening," he smiles. I smile in return and invite him inside. "This is for you." He holds a little container containing a beautiful white rose, matching his own. I grin in awe as he slides the corsage along my hand, letting it set perfectly on my wrist.
"Thank you, it's beautiful," I praise.
My mother looks just as excited as we are, maybe even more. She brings out her camera and takes one picture before our departure, then lets us leave. Ryan, being the gentleman he is, opens the passenger door for me then gets in on his own side, driving us to the school. Once we get there, it's already packed and it only started five minutes ago. We get out of the car, walking up to the entrance along with the many other dates, linking arms side-by-side. Once we get inside, there's music booming and crowds of teenagers in their gorgeous evening gowns and tuxedos dancing to the music, some watching from aside or getting some snacks at the snack bar.
"Would you like to dance?" Ryan asks.
I nod and take his hand, being led to the dance floor.

Tonight's the night. I have no idea how it's going to turn out, but I'll have to wait and see. Scarlett is going to have to explain every single detail once it's over with, and believe me, I'll be as quick as sound to get back to her once it's all done with.
Jesus, if anything terrible happens, I don't know what I'd do. And I won't be there with her, either. I can't even describe how nervous I am in words.
I sit at my couch watching the tellie, just some late night sports, trying to get my mind off of what's going to happen tonight. But nothing is distracting it from me, it's practically eating me alive. And I don't even know what's going to happen, maybe that's the scary part.
I look over at the clock, seeing that it's almost seven o' clock. It comes to my mind that Scarlett's at Prom right now. Shit, I know where she is. Maybe I can stop all of this, just in case something unexpected happens.
But then I remember that I don't have my bike. I groan and get up anyways, barging out the front foor of my messy apartment and rush to the school.

After several dances, we exit the crowded floor and walk to the side for a rest. I look up to Ryan, who is looking somewhere in the distance, where I notice a group of other boys that seem to be his friends, motioning him over to them.
"I'll be right back," Ryan smiles, then walks off to join his group of friends.
I'm left alone at one side of the room with beautiful, large windows engulfing practically the entire wall.
