The initiates didn't take long to form a queue after the Abnegation girl jumped. Within twenty minutes we were done, and Max turned to look at me just as the last initiate jumped.

"Well, that's an interesting group." He said, then stepped up onto the ledge.

"Four and Eric are going to have fun with that tall Candor kid. He seems way too cocky." I told him, stepping up beside him.

"They'll put him in his place." Max smirked. "And that stiff. They'll have them both soiling their pants and crying for their mother by tomorrow evening."

I almost shuddered. Four and Eric were very intimidating instructors. Especially Eric. Although I was well aware of what he was like really, instructor mode still gave me chills.

"That stiff really is something." I said. "It shocked me that she went first."

"You and I both." He muttered, then gestured to the hole. "You can go first."

I shook my head. "No, it's all yours."

He rolled his eyes. I opened my mouth to make a comment about how I was fine to wait, but he reached out and shoved me forwards.

I let out a little squeal as he did so, but it wasn't loud, then laughed as I fell through the air, loose bits of hair splaying around me.

I hit the net a few seconds later, and it took the breath from my lungs. I gasped for air as I bounced up and down a few times, then breathlessly laughed and crawled to the edge.

Lauren pulled it down and helped me out, grinning. "Bet it felt good to do that again."

I nodded, and a smile formed on my lips. "Oh yeah."

I headed straight back to my apartment as soon as that was over, and I was startled to find only Angelina and Ebonie sat on my couch.

"Hiya!" Angelina greeted, smiling.

"Hey... Where's Eric?" I questioned, looking down at the baby in her arms. "He was supposed to be looking after her."

"Stephen and I were having trouble with the doors in the initiates quarters. Eric had to give us a hand." She mumbled sheepishly, then her eyes followed mine. "Then little miss was due her feed and I offered to bring her back up here and do it whilst Eric did the doors. He'll be back at any minute."

"Alright." I nodded and shrugged my jacket off. "Thank you."

"Not a problem." She smiled. "She's so cute, it was pleasure. Did you have a good morning?"

"Yeah, it was actually okay." I sat down beside her. "The initiates are interesting."

"Oh?"

"Cocky Candor's, and an Abnegation."

"Abnegation?? She's the first since Four! What's she like?"

"She looks weak. It was the first thing that Max pointed out, but she jumped first. That was pretty brave."

Angelina looked impressed. "I'm going to have to see her for myself."

"I promise I didn't make her up!" I grinned.

She laughed. "I believe you."

The sound of keys in the door caught our attention, and I glanced up at Eric as he entered the apartment.

He smiled when he spotted me, and crossed the room to flop down beside me, the opposite side to Angelina.

"How was your morning?" He questioned.
